  3. Ah that made my day!
  4. There is a race there on 22 Jan. Someone at Jbay Cycles must know the route.
  5. Getting reports of a cyclist knocked down in Stanford rd in PE this morning. Unfortunately he did not make it! Our prays go out to his family and friends.
  6. I prefer to use: "Track Please!" Followed by: "Thanks" This sounds like less of a command.
  7. The downhill run they used for nationals is near Loerie just outside PE. There is some info at www dot mountainevents dot co dot za
  8. We have a deadly snake in our area called a Trouser Snake. Bite symptoms include abdominal swelling lasting 9 months but only in women... I'm no snake expect but, Hospitals can only really treat you symptomatically and most doctors don't have a lot of experience when it comes to snakebites. It always helps to identify the snake so you know what venom it has. First aid is crucial in these cases. Most snakebites are actually dry bites as venom takes a long time to produce and needs to be used sparingly by the snake. You're a threat to them, not prey.
  9. Sounds like a really k@k day! U still doing Trans?
  10. WhooHoo! Made up 2 places in 2 days! Thanks for another great competition Frosty!
  11. There are groups that leave from the Elliot Centre usually Saturdays @ 2pm. If you join Fattracks MTB Club they'll inform you about outrides, socials and races in the area.
  12. Why not!? Thomas Voeckler in for Bradley Wiggins.
  13. WhooHoo! Still 3rd. Thanks for the speedy update Frosty!
  14. So after Wiggins abandoned, 18 of us only have 8 riders to score points! Oh well!
  15. Norm Hudlin Trails are located just off Kragga Kamma Road in PE. A flat 20km loop consisting mostly of singletrack and jeep track. There is an event on the same day as the Tri-Nations match at this location. Baakens Valley has a lot to offer but recent flooding has washed away some of the trail. Speak to the guys at Cyclo Pro or any other local bike shop for info on where to ride in the valley. Best bet is the national course and surrounds. If you looking for an easy ride try the boardwalk from Shark Rock/Hobie Beach(or even Kings Beach) to Cape Recife and back. Other options include Longmore Forest(Permit required), Woodridge College trails and Thornhill trails all just outside PE. Probably best to be accompanied by someone whom has ridden those trails before.
  16. Team sent! Thanks Frosty...
  17. @BigBen: Looks like a pic from my ride this morning. Except i had to dodge a grumpy hippo as well...
  18. "The Kinkelbos route is as follows: From the Kinkelbos Police Station on the N2 to Alexandria (5km tar included) = 55km From Alex to Bushmans River (all dirt) = 44km Total = 99km" I would love to do this ride sometime soon. Please PM me when you intend on riding it again. I will happily join if i can!
  19. When going downhill on an MTB, keep your weight back!
  20. They are also putting the finishing touches to the national course in the Baakens Valley. Park at the Elliot Centre at Cyclo Pro off the William Moffet and you can ride the course from there...
  21. When is this "Time freight challenge?"
  22. All i need now is a Lefty...
  23. Some awesome bikes here!
  24. Probably best to check out the official Cannondale website. Take some time to read through everything. At least then you'll know everything about the different models...
