  2. Bwahahaha....today the prize will be a set of tires...hahaha
  3. I can understand uf you decide you no longer want something and at least you told the buyer. That is perfectly fine I think but this guy just not get back to me at all.
  4. I have experienced some issues that annoy me: 1) A buyer contacted me regarding an item I was selling. He agreed to purchased the item and asked for.my banking details which I gave. Never heard from him again after numerous follow up messages. 2) I enquired about two items from different sellers only to get a response saying the items were sold. I mean really, if its sold then update the ad ir remove it. 3) Enquored about products but get absolutely so response even after pms and comments on the ad. If you put something up the be decent enough to monitor your ads and answer requests.
  5. Really glad you posted such an awsome review, and here's why: I have a reverb (came with the bike I bought) and it was the my first and only dropper post so far. Its awsome, smooth, looks great and you can decide high high or low you want it. It very soon failed and needed a service that cost me about a grand. Recently it has bombed out again and needs a service ehich could cost about R1500. It also needs to bled every now and again as with hydraulic brakes. I cant afford the services each year or more and seems exorbitant and ends ups costing a fortune year on year. Came across an add for the same mechanical dropper in your review and went through all the doubts with the ugly look and limited settings but after reading your review it made it clear to me that this a a dropper that is reliable, cost effective and low maintenance as apposed to the reverb. Was weighing up if I could deal with these "short comings" or if I could justify the cost of the reverb and you have answered that for me. Getting the reverb serviced, selling it and getting me one of these.
  6. Not mtb related but Medical aid saved my wife and child. She was pregnant with our first child and had severe complications and Erin came a month early, spent 4 weeks in icu and my wife spent 2 weeks in icu with collapsed lung twice, 4 blood transfusions, surgery and the list goes on. This cost over half a million randellas and if it was not for medical aid I fear the worst could have happened. Medical aid is crucial when you need it, especially hospital plan. Its like the old saying: rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Research all the options and chiose the best for you budget taking into account all the valuable advice the these hubbers bestow upon thee.
  7. The cage i haveis already a side loder but if all else fails i will keep you in mind...thanks.
  8. Ja, that's a very viable option if the bottle don't fit...hahaha...fit the bike around the the bottle...
  9. Right, i get it now. Thanks for tip. Will try it.
  10. Have not tried that. Under the bottom bolt meaning the bolt sticks up a little and pushe don the bottlom of the water bottle?
  11. Aha, a flat top bottle may be a solution. Thanks
  12. Very nice. What bottle cage is that? Asking as i have a similar geometry and can't find a good bottle cage to fit. Tried a Lezyne Easy flow but the bottle hits and bends at the top tube.
  13. Order placed for three pair's:-)
  14. These beauties:-)
  15. Hi All, Glad i cma across this topic as i have started preparing an area for a herb nad veg garden. By no means hav ei got green fingers so and advice would be welcome. I have not managed to read all the replys to this topic so apologise if there is a repeat questions. Seen some of the pics and your gardens are looking excellent so well done. I was reading that raised beds give more space and is a better idea than growing in rows. So i was thinking of either paving, grassing or even just concreting the area then buys those wooden raised beds to plant my herbs and veg in. Some advice would be welcome on this and if it is just better to plant directly into the ground in rows. Looking at having this doen by next summer as i am a bit late in getting the ball rolling and will take some time. I will post some pics of the area when i get a change. Thanks
  16. Glad i was not the only one that thought the fees were a little out there. Was interested to learn more about the mechanis but just cannot afford such hefty fees but a great idea though.
  17. hahaha, reminds me of my first bike bought at Makro, ashamed to admit that:-). The pedal kept falling off despite my best efforts to keep it on, then crank arm gave way, BB broke, the front fork died a miseralbe death and the rims followed suite. Sweari saw them roll past me while riding...hahaha. Don't buy it, waste of moeny. Rather save for something decent and look on the hub here, great bikes up for grabs.
