    I am also looking for the route / profile. I have to go on record and say that they did do a lot to add new paths and fix some sections, worth 1.5mil... not sure. Any case I am hyped ! Seeding is out and used SAS.. LOTS OF BATCHES ! See below from SAS email Batches for the 54km: A. B, C, D, E, F, J, L, N, P, R, T, V, X, Z, ZB Batches for the 22km: I, K, M, O, Q, R, T, V, W, Y, ZA, ZC 07h00 54km - Batches 10 mins apart 08h20 22km - Batches 10 mins apart (From 08h20 54km & 22km batches will alternate) 12h00 1km - 4 to 6 Years Old 12h30 2km - 7 to 9 Years Old 12h30 Prize Giving

    Had the fenix3 for a while and its cool, but IMO not worth the 7500 or 8500 price tag. I was very disappointed in the Garmin Q apps, but hopefully they will improve. I ended up selling the F3 and went back to a fenix 2. Only issues I had with the F3 was battery life was probably half that of hat I got from the F2 ( maybe due to Bluetooth connection with my phn as on the F2 I don't use the Bluetooth )and at random intervals the F3 would get very hot, actually felt the heat on my writs…. worried me a bit. Also read there are GPS accuracy issues, but I don’t need that accurate GPS as im not a mountaineer, for them a gps that is 10 meters out is a massive issue, for me as a runner / mtber not so much.

    Meh.... I went to look at this and the fenix 3. Took the fenix 3 as this day vice has very limited Cycling and running capabilities. Go check the DC rain mailer review.

    I have the silver and red strap fenix 3 and it's awesome....But I'm now toying with idea of selling it and getting the Apple watch.

    Do you plug the tire? Or buy new ones? Does a plug affect the riding in any way and how long will it last?

    I think the race is way too expensive for my backyard free weekend ( 80%) ride. But Jozi is Def not dysfunctional.... Sound like you the tipe of person who talks of immigration at the braai.... Joburg rocks! And it's trails and parks too

    well you just can beat the bang for buck... even compared to other giant products. this is a amzing machine for trail or xc all for such a bargain. iv had various scott xc bikes, hardtail, ds, giants, axis, merida... best bike I ever owned

    Went to enter saw the price, immediately emailed them asking to please reconsider the price. I really want to ride but I won't pay more than 250 for the 55km. I know Andy Hatfield ( who I respect as a startup guy and host of za tech) was involved and I know he is big into his riding from listing to his podcast. So ja don't know him personally but know his is a mtbr

    Same here... 399 is just to much. The event is sponsored and we have to fork out that much? Get real! A major event like 94.7 is cheaper

    @peach is there still space for the 17th? Want to start with that one so i know i don't miss anything. Looking to improve my technical skills, drop offs and master a wheelie ( past 3 seconds) also work on the speed of my cornering on trails.

    Like the virb.. Issue is garmin sa is ripping us. You can get the virb in us for 99 to 120 doller..

    I bought a Bryton cadence and speed ant plus sensor and paired it with my ambit 2 s. paired the sensor as a bike pod as it did not work to pair as a cadence , I did not connect the speed magnet. Now when i cycle the ambit distance stays on 0. i assume the speed cadence pod is over writing the GPS? and assume its on 0 as i have no magnet. i dont want to use the speed/distance on the sensor but speed and distance on GPS, just want to get my cadence from the sensor. any advice?

    My ambit 2s auto updates the time every time i sync... Dont mind that the prob is that it makes the time 4 hrs earlier....? Why does it do this ? If time is 08:00 it changes time to 04:00. Where do i set the time zome on moves count?

    Guns suck... Don't give me that self defense crap. Most people die at the hand of their own gun or spouses gun. Met lots if gun owners in my life and they either agro or have some chip..
