Why is this so confusing? That is us as advisors are asking. It's really not an ideal situation. If we are confused, how do the powers that be think the regular client is going to be. No medical aid - you won't have the option to "upgrade" to inspire. I use the word upgrade loosely.

Inspire plus would suit you better because you can get extra health returns into your health saver by doing the active stuff. But I think you will probably pay for it now, so not sure if you should stay where you are to save the monthly premium.

Correct. BUUUUUUT we were just informed this morning that there are rumors it will not happen as seamlessly as they initially told us. Apparently you will get a whatsapp asking you to confirm the change. End of last year we were told it would just happen automatically during January and by the end of January everyone that was on health and premier would be on inspire plus. People without health would be asked if they want to keep premier or get rid of it.

One the plus side, our biggest competitors' advisors are stressing even more, their changes are even worse apparently. A lot of us here at my franchise will be using our own changes as testers, when we get the messages to start with them. The biggest change we waiting for is the change from Multiply premier over to multiply inspire plus. We were under the impression it would happen automatically if you had the relevant polices, but now it seems we will get a whatsapp asking us to opt into inspire plus.

Genuine question here, why all the hate for DSTV? I have been a premium subscriber for as long as I can remember and I get to watch everything I’m reading about here as well as F1 from Friday FP to Sunday race, motoGP the same, all the UFC (as well as the local EFC), almost all the boxing (they do miss some of the smaller events), all the rugby and cricket i can think of. I don’t watch soccer but there are like 4 channels for that. My kids are happy with their channels, my wife enjoys the stuff she watches. TBH, what am I missing out on? I have never tried any of these streaming sites. I don’t have super fast internet as I don’t need it for work so I would need to pay more to upgrade that in order to try. I’m not saying I am loyal to dstv, just wondering what I’m missing because I just switch on my tv and watch and all I pay is just under a grand. Cost is a big thing for me, what would I need to pay, just for the internet to stream? If I dumped dstv, would it cost me less than a grand a month to watch all of the above without hassle?

Flights and accommodation booked and paid for today. Taking the whole family down for 10 days. Arrive on Friday the 8th and leave Sunday the 17th. My folks are driving down so they leave a day earlier so that we have my dad’s caravelle down there because as it is, a 10 day trip to Cape Town for 7 of us is pretty expensive and to hire a car that would take all of us is more than the accommodation. We staying at the waterfront from Friday till Monday so we close to the start and finish. Then from Monday till Sunday we staying at a place in gardens. Wanted to stay at a place called riviera by seapoint but we left it too late and the bigger units were fully booked. My BIL is doing epic so we will probably watch him start and then head to the airport from there. luckily my folks have paid for everything, otherwise this would not have been possible.

When I got the mail, I immediately called my dad and said we need to enter the next day as we get a discount. He then informed me that he had already entered us for even less in April. We paid R755 each in April. just as well my dad is on the ball, otherwise I would have bought a second entry🤣

How did everyone go? Anyone here from Saturday A batch for small mountain? Did you also miss the first turn and do 6km less and get a 32min penalty? Was still a lekker ride, pity I missed 6km of trails on day 1. I enjoyed day 1 a lot more than day 2. I really suffered yesterday, my HT and body didn't enjoy those bumpy farm roads and my Dad made me bleed yesterday. Pity about all the timing issues and getting the results sorted. The team results are all still pending and there was no podium presentation. It looks like they have pretty much got it right now.

We were considering taking them out all together but the twins have a reptile show and they don’t want to miss it. So the oldest we will fetch at 1st break(09h50) and the twins the teacher reckons they will be done by 10h30. I have a HT, not sure it is ideal for enduro anyway but otherwise I would have been keen. I’ll probably go check it out for future reference as we are probably doing the amohela again next year.

I just went onto the website, for the first time 🫣 Saw this. ENDURO Hosted on the Friday afternoon before the main event, this is an optional enduro ride for those keen to warm up their legs. The concept is completely a trial and if it takes off, we will expand into it in 2024. What is it? : - This is a 1,8km loop which will need to be completed 4 times as part of the event. Riders will be seeded for this to make sure you don't end up stuck in the course. As a trial concept, we have decided not to make this too technical, but there is still work to be done. The slowest batches will go first and a single batch will last 30 minutes with fastest batch going off at 16:00. Why? : - We obviously have a long term plan, but we need to see interest in these kinds of events first. Will this count towards my results? : - No, this is stand alone and considered a warm up to the main event. Do you have to enter? : - Riders must be entered into any of the 2 day events to qualify for this, there is no entry fee, you will be sent an sms to opt in or out of the enduro. Where is it? : - This is on course, just 1km from town, we will send an exact pin. Vehicles cannot readily get to this part of the course, but there is parking at the gate leading to the trail. There is nothing there : - Please do take note that barring a hydration station, there are no other facilities there. The route is spectator friendly, you can literally see the riders for 90% of the course from the Start / Finish.

Do you have any idea what it's all about? I have never done one before.

Also off to Clarens on Friday for the Amohela. We going through Golden Gate. It is longer by about an hour according to google maps(from Joburg) but we want to see if the dinosaur place has opened up yet and we can't find anything on the internet(which makes us think is hasn't opened up yet). Going home we were just planning on Bethlehem but will keep an eye on here to see what the road conditions are like. What time is everyone leaving? We fetching the kids from school early and want to leave around 11h00. Anyone doing the enduro on Friday? Got an sms about it this morning.

I got that video and another by someone else in the same plane, the other video you see the fire truck a lot more and that thing had been waiting there for a while. Makes me wonder if they were expecting it? Not normal for the fire trucks to be on the taxiway next to another live aircraft like that.

LOL no. I am a Ferrari man that still supports Alonso even after he left us. I don't really have an issue with Checo, but Max and Christian grind me up the wrong way. I respect Adrian Newey for the genius that he is.

So let’s just let the red fools (not a typo) go race on their own on a different day for 1 and 2 in the championship, then everyone else can make racing lekker again and race for the rest of the spots. They are actually just taking up space on the track because they too damn fast. Last night was another boring race.
