  4. I meant riding with Tim
  5. Vinny I'm keen to ride with Wessel for the Nissan pre-ride, 8am from Tyger Valley college. About 60km. U keen ?
  6. http://www.momsenbikes.com/bikes.cfm?prod=sl729_12
  7. Added some white bottle cages
  8. Cat-i we did the Challenge last year and for the type of riding and training I get to do, it's perfect. Could do the Race but would be leisurely. To me the fun is in going "full gazz" as the Bulls guys like to sa, so racing the Challenge it is
  9. Doing the challenge so far, but seems Stewie911 can't make it as he has knee issues. Any dude that would be keen to join me to race the challenge event ? PM me
  10. Stewie is actually back in SA, was in the US for a holiday. His knee is giving him issues though, so hasn't been riding and now it seems he can't join me for the 3 towers because of that, may need a new partner soon
  11. Morwa just take into account the generaly the UK mags like more trail/all mountain type gear as this is the riding they do most, unlike Sa where racing is the norm. SO their definition of the winner will be affected by that.
  12. Hit the Road bike with Wayne this am, was actually warmish, 10deg at the start. I was useless and had no power however. Will try get my bike built up, then we can do a mtb ride on thursday maybe. Who's keen ?
  13. Keep the hardtail to train on or for muddy races or shorter events
  14. It's like that Lonely Island song - "and then I in my pants "
  15. I'm sorry I have neither the balls nor the bike or the sphincter to cope with that
  16. Cool Wayne let me know
  17. Also look at the new 29er SID coming out it will be really light, just over 1,5kg for the maxxle version with lockout. Or there is a 9mm model just over 1,4kg.
  18. Sjoe that Ventura is excellent value for 6,k ! Wouldn't mind one to train on, even cheaper than my road bike I use for training Any idea if the XXL will be up to the challenge of a 2,1m guy that weighs 140kg ? I have a buddy that I want to get into mtb and his current bike is too small and isn't holding under the weight, allready broken the left crank arm off
  19. Talking of dogs Tankman, went for a early and dark mtb ride yesterday with WayneO. Rode past a gate with dogs barking, no problem. The next moment there was one on my right, sjoe we got a huge fright, put in a good sprint effort Moral of the story - don't worry about the barking dogs you can see, worry about the silent ones you can't
  20. Haha Bontie the cops. I don't take sweeties from Ooms in cars
  21. Cool vid. Thing is that if we have bike lanes everywhere here it will probly be the same or even worse - taxis, pedestrians, potholes and the metro will make a fortune ticketing you for straying out the lane and not them It's like people saying "ride on the sidewalk". Listen to the word, it's sidewalk, not sideride
  22. Tankman nope its not the same one, mine has multiple leds, on the side as well, straps onto the seat rails, charges via usb
  23. Thanks Dangle. Not connected to my monitor now so dificult to say how it actually looked when I did the RAW conversion, but could still probly do with a bit of saturation and/or contrast as you say.
  24. I have a Serfas light that fits under the seat, but maybe it will still be too big and you wont be able to get the bottle out
  25. Had a lekker mtb ride with Wayne this am. Wanna hit the road bike at 5am tomorrow if anyone is keen ?
