  1. LATE, SORRY-> Rotor cranks and their oval chain rings ?
  2. I have them on my 26'', love the tyres, perfect for most Gauteng races. Lightweight, excellent grip in corners and I feel it also brakes well. Thin sidewalls so cutting can occur, haven't had issues though. I've only had one puncture so far and that was glass cutting the tread, plugged it and it's working fine. Cheap(bought local for less than CRC), seated/sealed effortlessly on stans and shimano rims. Rubber is soft though (60/62a) so yes, not for you if you do allot of tar or training miles as it will wear too fast. It is designed as a XCO race tyre so treat it as that, it wasn't made to withstand the Epic... I'm on my 3rd set and still super happy with them.
  3. There's only a few roads and a loop and I think one trail at the moment, not so well signposted so didnt ride it all. He has 3 guys working on it but as you know, its a helluva job to get grass etc. out to makea trail. Doesn't seem to be going the singletrack route though, which needs to be adressed IMO. He won't make money from jeep track . I suggested he make a 5-6km XC track, the space and terrain is perfect for it and there is a need for more tracks with the provincial circuit and it will be a way to make money by hosting races. Also I suggested he make trails that trail runners can utilise. At the moment its the same tracks for walkers, dogs, runners, cyclists and horses.
  4. Finally rode there today, lots of potential but not much going on yet. Hopefully he can get it done. Maybe we can give more input and go help with trail building for free entry ?

  12. Raleigh does seem better as it will have 2010 105 parts, looks better IMO too. Depends if you can stretch the budget allot, Felt have Tour de France specials and their B14 (something like that) is around 14-16K I think, carbon 105 bike so have a look at their stuff as well.
  13. Try the speedtest mobile app if you have a compatible smartphone. Get a 8ta sim and load some airtime and see how fast it is.
  14. I still believe compression works, even upper body, but these garments from Maxed don't offer any such benefits but do make good base layers at R99 a pop
  15. Yep thats the one, the other one is just lycra, which isnt nice.
  16. The fit is horrendous on the sleeved ones, I only wear the sleevesless under my jerseys
  17. Well got the new frame built up and christened it at the XCO provincial at Fountains last weekend. Was a lekker course, perfect for a hardtail. Bike rode well so I'm all smiles. This is with the training wheels (+/- 10,5kg), will post a pic with race wheels(+/- 9,2kg) some time.

  19. meant to say I will be building one of these up, very slowly over time as I have some spare cash. SHould be good fun and also even better training. Also if its muddy I can always just take the SS out, no worries. Less maintanance and less washing, sounds like a deal to me !
