  2. I'm looking for an internship in marketing/brand management in the Pta/Jhb area for a month, November-December. It's compulsary as part of my grad year (I need to be avaluated by the company) for my BA Marketing Communications degree at The AAA School of Advertising, I'm specialising in Brand Management. Drop me a PM if anyone knows of something. Shot! WW.
  3. YEah always a bit weary of the python when running past the bat cave where all the dassies are
  4. We still have our challenge entry for sale if anyone is interested.
  5. Ran past a mozam spitting cobra in Groenkloof a while back, scared myself sh!tless ! Heard a rustle next to the path, kept running and when I looked back about a meter he was standing there hood flared and all.
  6. They have been replaced by the ztr race gold wheelset. Not really sure what the difference is but it should be on the stans site. Two Wheels Trading are the local agents so would be best to inquire with them or via the lbs. I know you can also buy the wheels directly from the stans website so consider that option. Though last time I checked they were about 1000 dollars so bit above your budget. They are also race only wheels so you'll need a 2nd pair to train with on the mtb
  7. Gotta love Kenny Powers !
  8. Haha Ok Xander
  9. Ray Maker has so many straps as he tests and owns allot of gadgets, would love to do stuff like that
  10. Awesome bike ! Why did you go with "The One" and not "R1" brakes though ? And Shimano rotors ?
  11. Same thing really, sure they are sold under many other brandnames as well
  12. They had some merch on the Rush Sports web shop at some point
  13. This excites my inner gadget nerd immensely ! http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2011/07/tip-of-day-how-i-manage-15-heart-rate.html

  15. Ritchey has just the ticket for Weight Weenies, a 100g alu stem in 100mm guise that's also 4 times stiffer than previous 4-axis stems. That's well done guys !!! http://www.bikeradar...neak-peek-30996
  16. so just wondering - aren't you impacting negatively on your training if you use a different drink than racing ? Or is that to do with intensity ie. water for short rides and some carbs for longer rides but for racing you are going 110% so you need some more oomph ?
  17. LATE, SORRY-> Rotor cranks and their oval chain rings ?
  18. I have them on my 26'', love the tyres, perfect for most Gauteng races. Lightweight, excellent grip in corners and I feel it also brakes well. Thin sidewalls so cutting can occur, haven't had issues though. I've only had one puncture so far and that was glass cutting the tread, plugged it and it's working fine. Cheap(bought local for less than CRC), seated/sealed effortlessly on stans and shimano rims. Rubber is soft though (60/62a) so yes, not for you if you do allot of tar or training miles as it will wear too fast. It is designed as a XCO race tyre so treat it as that, it wasn't made to withstand the Epic... I'm on my 3rd set and still super happy with them.
  19. There's only a few roads and a loop and I think one trail at the moment, not so well signposted so didnt ride it all. He has 3 guys working on it but as you know, its a helluva job to get grass etc. out to makea trail. Doesn't seem to be going the singletrack route though, which needs to be adressed IMO. He won't make money from jeep track . I suggested he make a 5-6km XC track, the space and terrain is perfect for it and there is a need for more tracks with the provincial circuit and it will be a way to make money by hosting races. Also I suggested he make trails that trail runners can utilise. At the moment its the same tracks for walkers, dogs, runners, cyclists and horses.
  20. Finally rode there today, lots of potential but not much going on yet. Hopefully he can get it done. Maybe we can give more input and go help with trail building for free entry ?
