  1. Both are absolutely fine.
  2. Yes, fits on 9100 and R8000 SS, not GS.
  3. Only downside is running two power links as it’s a brand new chain that was sized for my old pulley, needed four additional links and I don’t see anything wrong with 2 power links for the next 3 - 4000kms.
  4. Will try it out tomorrow, but it looks absolutely stunning!!
  5. Was tempted by that one too. When I checked for the add it was gone, and shortly after, this came my way.
  6. Bling bling!
  7. Bling bling!
  8. I too do most of my riding alone. What I've learnt is to stick to popular routes like Plumstead to Jubilee, maybe Blackhill to Chappies and back home. Also, I do not leave the house before 7, a lot more cyclist on the road by then. It's the early morning starts that are dangerous, even if you in a group because the group eventually break into smaller groups leaving someone exposed. A club ride would be awesome if they will stick to the slowest person's pace, but not everyone has the patience for that. If there is anyone in the Plumstead area looking for a weekend cycle buddy doing for the scenery and not Strava pbs, give me a shout.
  9. And she’s finally done. Will hopefully take my maiden spin on Saturday.
  10. If I do decide to do it, definitely a fun ride. The fact that there will be no after party kinda sucks. Collect your medal and leave is a big turn off.
  11. Couldn’t wait any longer. Nearly there, just waiting for the seatpost to arrive, tuck the battery and fit the saddle.
  12. My bad, just saw it’s a 8 yearly post.
  13. Best is to get yourself a test light and identify the wires on your current plug and just rewire. If you in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, I will gladly assist you.
  14. Two more pieces to go... can’t wait to spend some time on this bad boy.
  15. You get what you pay for. Me, I am extremely happy paying an inflated premium knowing that it’s combined with exceptional service.
  16. I thought about it and I feel I have too many items that needs to be charged, not willing to add to that. Hydraulic on the other hand... draad trek is te lekker
  17. So, the first piece of my new puzzle arrived
  18. And on home content, yes, it's only covered to a certain amount. Also, if you have any security for example electric fence/ home alarm etc.. rather remove it of your policy and pay R50 more because should an incident occur and any of those systems failed, your claim might be rejected. I stand corrected though. Disco home insurance requires a pin bolt on sliding door, we have 2 pin bolts. Moral of the story, read the requirement, make sure you meet or exceed what is required and all will be okay.
  19. Lastly, I feel that I don't need a broker as I enjoy reading the fine print of all my policies and making sure that I fully understand what I am signing up for. I had an issue with my previous accident where the medical bills was declined by Discovery, I then quoted all relevant info on policy and my claim was then settled in full. Similar incident with King Price, claim rejected, after a dispute and again, relevant info, outcome was overturned and settled. That was when I decided to go with Cyclesure.
  20. 5%, which is not bad. I think Discovery back then was like a flat R10 000.
  21. I am with Cyclesure, R500 for R100 000 cover. My total premium is around R740 which includes helmet, shoes, watch, garmin, glasses. I have had 3 claims since last year October with my latest claim being the highest. I don't mind the premium as I know it's a risk every time I leave my house. What I do like about them is that all my claims/ experiences has been pleasant experiences. Also, sometimes we need to give a little something back, so I will definitely stick to Cyclesure even if I can score a couple of bucks elsewhere.
  22. Glad you sorted and stay safe. I will hopefully be back on the road by Saturday.
