  1. Anyone else received their sms with seeding info yet? Seems they are stuffing it up like with the Satellite race again.
  2. Great race. Managed a 2:20 from AL. No real close calls that I saw. To the guy that broke his crank a few km's from the start, great work getting out the way smoothly! Sucks for your race to end like that but at least you didn't ruin anyone else's.
  3. Very cool idea! Could even use the Apple wallet app to create the passes like you can for flight tickets. Android users only ride MTB's so no problem there....
  4. The racetech chip should already ensure that printing fake numbers won't help. You can print an A batch number, but you'll be disqualified once the results are in.
  5. But why can't these just be printed at home? I'm sure most people have access to a printer. They could probably even sell the material in packs of 10 or something so you buy those and then you can print your numbers at home.
  6. AL for me. Looking forward to my first race for the year!
  7. 6 punctures? Is that really just bad luck or not checking your tires for sharp objects between each tube change?
  8. It's for people that have done more than 4 (or 5?) 94.7's.
  9. In the news reports they specifically say his family has asked that his privacy be respected. So lets do that.
  10. What a great day out! Managed a 2:40 from C batch for my first 94.7 so pretty happy with that. Didn't see any crashes but 1 or 2 close calls.
  11. I'm also in H, although I will try to get reseeded at registration. Aiming for a sub 3, so if we end up staying in H we can get a group going.
  12. Just heard back from them. You can still apply for reseeding at number collection, but at a fee of R150.
  13. Any of you planning on using the result from this event to request reseeding for 94.7?
  14. Same issue on the 80km. Seeding all over the place. Only 1 person from BM finished ahead of a lot of us in CM. Always great to pass people riding in A batch sporting moon bags
  15. Yes, the guys in the BMW's and Porches should be locked up. What a bunch of idiots. They could have very easily killed someone. And for what? Looking like a bunch of twats on a Sunday morning. The start venue was a weird choice in my opinion. I've done MTB races where I ended up cleaner. But apart from that an awesome race. Managed to stick with the leading BL bunch until the 85km mark but then the wind destroyed me and I dropped back. Finished in around 3:12 so not too unhappy with that. But can definitely improve. Also manage to break a spoke but luckily that happened in the last km
  16. Checkout https://www.facebook.com/urbanMTB. One of the replies by the organizers was that the event could be cancelled. That would really suck. Been looking forward to this all year.
  17. Yes, looked like it was a bit too slow.
  18. Sorry to hear about the crash. But please don't make us wait too long for the video
  19. I'm actually referring to the guys manning the USN product table. They were to the right of the stairs as you came up. The guys and girls at the number collection are great, same as with the Nissan Trailseeker.
  20. TBH, I don't think USN puts much thought into these races at all. It's clear from the lack of any sort of race pack, expensive entries, bad route choices, etc. Even the guys manning the USN table at Epic Cycles looked like they'd much rather be sleeping. It's a quick buck for them and that's about it. The Nissan Trailseeker races are a million times better.
  21. Are you talking about the 30km or the 50km? Because the A batch for 50km started about 1 minute late and the B batch pretty much exactly 5 min after that. Definitely agree that the race was not very well thought out. Combining the 50km and 30km route that early was not very clever.
  22. Is their sizing chart not accurate then? For example, according to chest measurement I would wear a medium jersey. If I look at the Craft size chart I should also wear a medium (I currently have a large Craft jersey that fits a little too big). Basically I'm wondering how Rapha sizing compares to Craft if anyone knows.
