  1. Scale, It might be slightly commercial but still one damn hot bike!! Love the Scott's!

Plus not everyone has the artistic talent some of these okes have and I have to be honest some of them have better talent than some canvas artist. PS. Love the pics so far, keep 'em coming!
  3. Had the same issue with my magura louise back ones. Also retightened the disc, aligned caliper but the noise was still there... Had my spokes tensioned/wheel trued and the noise has been gone for almost 6 months now. Go figure...
  4. Jeese and it's not even friday yet! To date I've had no issues with the club and so what if they make a few extra bucks with the membership fees?? When was the last time you rode the members only sections? It's awesome but someone had to put in hard labour to build it. Give credit where it's due and enjoy the ride!!

  6. No idea - the guys are probably just early risers and not rugby watchers(read: braai en bier manne) like us
  7. Anyone joining in this ride? Spoke to the guys and it's not a "race" but rather a fun ride with a day for the family to join. Seems like a nice idea and also not a piggy bank raider:-)

What he said and also that avatar! Goodness gracious....
  9. Also heard 3-in-1 works for everything
  10. Did you moer him off or did you talk him down?
  11. If you have photos of the original decals you can contact A-type grafix (Ruan Chamberlain@ 072 673 1669 and very affordable!) or GstaR Graphics(Gys Malan, not sure about tel no or prices. I've had many stickers etc made by A-type and never been dissapointed as the owner is an absolute perfectionist!
  12. Not being weird or agro in any sense but just making a correction - Karoo2Coast is 103km and entry is R300 thus looking at it from a R/km point of view the K2C(R2.91/km) is bit cheaper by all standards. Anyhows, entry fees aside, you have a great area with awesome trails and anyone entering will be having a great ride none the less. Enjoy the day and the ride!
  13. Sorry for the hi-jack but I have a similar problem on my rear wheel(XT rim and hub). Spoke keeps loosing tension and causing a funny "eeck eeck" sound when riding. LBS has worked on it last week but over the weekend I noticed the tension gone again. Any Advice or contacts I can try in Cape town? Maybe Johan B can advise?
  14. That's why I've also mentioned the Polyprop pipe and decent wall thickness... Believe me the PP or PVDF pipe will NOT break or be damaged by any chemicals. If our councils find it bullet proof there has got to be some merit in it One can always mix some CarbonCor(Mines and quarries use it for their roads at integral spots) into the dirt covering the pipes to prevent dirt from moving and this will also not harm the environment. Nou't ek my sê gesê en gaan nou uit hierdie modderbad klim en my fiets gaan haal na haar diens!
  15. Semi off topic but a suggestion none the less. Where the trails have water drainage ruts why not put pipe(either PVC/PVDF/PP with decent wall thickness) in the rut, cover with dirt and voila! No one tries to moer each other anymore and it creates fun jumps on single track! See professional illustration below
  16. Think the term is "Turned away" due to a interview shoot with Frans Cronje in the said coffee shop. See, I'm becoming like all the other hubbers and correcting where ever I go!!
  17. Remember a while back there was a thread about the Illuminati.. Watch out, the powers that be are probably watching us as we type
  18. Someone with facts can correct me if I'm wrong but somebody mentioned last week at the Meerendal night ride that TBMC has in excess of 3000 members.. For argument's sake we let 2000 members pay the R550 full rate and the other 1000 the pro-rata post June rate of R400 then you come to +-R1,5mill.. Nothing sensational about those figures Antoon.
  19. I Like the way the MTN national races were done. Once off registration where you get your number which is used for all races and all they do on race day is scan your board. Easy, cheap, painless and very logical.
  20. Where outside Hermanus did this happen? Onrus or Stanford's side? Many guys riding out towards onrus ride 4/5 abreast and many times without lights unfortunately...
  21. Pics of the damage?

    oops!

Ouch! On who's site was this??
  23. Storm, Also have a look at your axle and if the cones are tightened properly. If that's ok I would say get the spokes retensioned etc. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
  24. Have to be honest, My bike came with RRalphs front and back. Always had issues with them from the start. When they were to be replace I got a massive deal on non tubeless one's which I couldn't pass up. Went the ghetto tubeless way and all of a sudden no more issues! Get your pressures right and they will be the best XC tyres you've ridden! BUT, this is my opinion on a monday morning!!
