  1. Apparently there was an issue with a TBMC member/s that left a gate open and one of the Eland bucks escaped (someone from our neighbourhood watch actually reported it on our group) and this P'd the land owner off to such an extent that he withdrew land access. Which I can fully understand as those animals are not cheap. Please don't quote me - this is what I heard in the starting shute...
  2. With a title like this one we're bound to have some friday popcorn coming up
  3. Sorry for taking so long - had to do some actual "work" for a change Seems I'm getting a bargain on my bike insurance, but please bear in mind I have everything insured by one company(my house, two vehicles, house content, alles!) so that also probably counts in my favour. Contact Adri Venter on 011 672 0232 or mail her at marketing@campherb.co.za She's been doing my insurance for many years and I can really vouch that if there is anything you need she'll sort it out. I even moved my insurance to her new business when she left Indwe...
  4. I've insured my bike for replacement value (+-R15000) and if memory serves me correct I'm paying something like R47 per month. At that rate I'm looking at saving for 26,6 years to be able to replace my bike. Rather insure and have the peace of mind...
  5. There's few things in life like a beautifully crafted bike! This is one of them
  6. What about us old school 26ers?
  7. Beteken dit ons kan nou maar oor enige stront praat op hierie fred?
  8. Dooonnner maar dis mooi!
  9. Like everyone above mentioned.. Two things that you have to check - pad contamination and your bleeding method. If your lever reaches your bars it means something really is not right. If your pads and discs are clean bleed the whole system again. Rather have it perfect than failing on a descent
  10. Now that's how you keep someone happy!
  11. Vale, I have to admit I would also be pissed off. I'm in the market for new shoes and considered the LG shoes purely out of looks and reputation. Saw this on their website: "I have a problem with something I bought, what can I do? (CANANDA & INTERNATIONAL)– Our products carry a one year warranty from the date of purchase. Claims must be addressed with the initial proof of purchase to an authorized Louis Garneau Sports Inc. dealer and be treated by the latter in compliance with the return and warranty policies set forth by Louis Garneau Sports Inc. (USA)– Our products carry a one year warranty from the date of purchase. You must return the item where you bought the item. If you bought the item directly from Louis Garneau, you may contact Customer Service." You could possibly talk to the shop owner and request he takes this up with them? Does he have documentation that states the buckles are not under warranty?
  12. Speak to Al at Helderberg cycles. He'll sort you out without ripping you a new one..
  13. See some of the pics are up on http://www.jetlineactionphoto.com/find_photos.php Got a slight shock when I wanted to order the digital pics.. At R63.odd a digital pic I'll give it a skip. If it was that amount for normal printed pic I might have considered it "FLAME SUIT ON"
  14. 2:54 for 60k's still cooks in my books!
  15. Nearly died on saturday... I've never ridden a 60km ride as bad as this one and during the ride kept telling myself it's because of all the hills - it's not me. Wha Ha Ha! What a joke! My fitness levels are a disgrace to me! The winner of the 60km route took only 2:43 - that's a flippen great time in my opinion I'll just have to start doing some hills this week.. Hope everyone had a good recovery day yesterday!
  16. Chat to Glynn at Glynn Moolman Biokineticist - Cell: 082 398 5066 Email:glynn@glynnmoolman.com He's been riding road and MTB for years so should be able to assist with correcting any possible issues with your setup. Hope you get it sorted bud!
  17. Got a "C" seeding for the 60km. Also by the sound of it I should be in the G or H groups....
  18. Caliper Piston sticking?? When last were the brakes bled and generally cleaned/serviced? How old/how many km's has the brake set done?
  19. Why do the Wannabees club members get discount but the other club's members not? Seem weird to me...
  20. When they replaced it last time I paid R230 for both polarized lenses. This price was only offered after I threw my toys out of the cot as they tried to blame the oil from my hair as the issue... Anyways, will be popping in their this week again to see what the excuse is this time.
  21. Highly dissapointed with oakley. Replaced my lenses not two months ago due to the polarisation peeling and this morning noticed small bubbles starting again!! FFS - aren't they supposed to be "active" sunglasses??
  22. Make your life a little bit easier and get Evobikes to sort out your brake issues. I've always been sorted out by them when I go to Janos. My 2 cents...
  23. Yoh, I would replace chain and cassette. If problem persists chances are the front rings are also slightly worn.
  24. Ditto to what Dustbin said - also check your front chain rings. HAd a similar issue and only once I've replaced "everything" possible, reset everything did someone mention the front rings and after they were replaced all was sorted!
