  1. I've heard many people saying it's a good idea to get a Vitamin B injection as a "pick me up" fix. Anyone share this opinion or not as I'm really feeling worn out the past week and a half. Could possibly help or would it just be a temporary fix which will make you down and out after a day or two? Open to suggestions!
  2. Done! Hope you get your wish!!
  3. Mika.. According to him, I'm his servant...
  4. Slightly off topic but not only the bike prices are getting out of hand. Saw on a local online shop these assos jerseys for R1700!! What are they made of and how much better than the rest can they actually be????!!! Assos SS. Mille Jersey http://www.cwcycles.co.za/sites/default/files/imagecache/product-holder/product_images/assxhqrx.jpg full front zipper zip protection low volume high body clima regulation rear ventilation system with Stabilizer Panel (Assos Patent) UV protection 50+ zippered safety pocket
  5. That's possibly one of THE sexiest bikes I've seen this year!
  6. I've been in a similar situation where someone tried to moer me while I'm in the car and he's standing tall outside the vehicle. If I had a gun and thought that my life could be in danger(many people have been beaten to death or near death) I would not sit there and contemplate "now where should I shoot this maniac".. I would just do my best to defend myself and my family. My 2c..
  7. My bikes are in the garage which has a passive infrared sensor and the entrance door is locked securely and the garage door is securely operated by remote only(that said, until some moegoe gets hold of a remote!) Have had no problems to date but should probably confirm the fine print with my insurer..
  8. Sorry to hear about the upcoming divorce. Luckily the wife rides with me normally but her being 6 months preggies prevents her from getting on the bike at the moment and thus causes a bit of ruptions if I'm away the whole day. Most of the times though she encourages me to go riding
  9. My opinion would be to go for the Maxxis Crossmark - I put those on the wife's bike to give her some giddyup when we do the road riding thing.
  10. I ride with full XT groupset and shifting has been faultless since I got the bike(almost 2 yrs now), Rode a buddies Morewood at G-spot on sunday with SLX shifters and XT rear derailleur - moerse difference in shifting response/accuracy and feel. I agree with you on the shifters..
  11. If you're looking for Ti frames my opinion would be to go for the Merlin or Cove frames. Unfortunately I cannot tell you who supplies them in RSA but importing from UK shouldn't be an issue.
  12. It seems I've got my number scrambled as they're saying over a thousand people rocked up last night. Looking Forward to the next one!
  13. Have a look on their facebook page, Some pics have been loaded. Was an absolute perfect evening to ride with a bunch of awesome people and a vibe to match! My guestimate is around about 300 people on bikes and boards. Will definitely be there again on the 30th Sept!!
  14. Anyone else joining tonight? Seems quite a crowd going from the northern suburbs side...
  15. Grebel, Mostly for XC and endurance so will ride with peak on 99% of the time. Thanks for the tip clint, will look out for them.
  16. I had a Bell (think Yukon). I have started looking around for replacements as this one has been with me for years. "Luckily" I wiped out and am now pushed into buying a new one asap. The Giro's are looking good so far, What you riding with at present?
  17. Thanks, will pop around there later this week and see what they have.
  18. Had a wipe out over the weekend and helmet took a good punch on my behalf so will be going to the shelf. I mostly ride sub 40km rides but over the holidays try and do 75km+ rides so need something that will fit my wallet but also give max protection and comfort for long periods. What helmet would you guys replace it with?
  19. Jeeselike... Some serious issues there.
  20. Road or MTB frames? I still have an ancient Diamond Back Apex frame at home. Chromoly steel frame if you're interested.
  21. Police were doing patrols on wednesday evening on quad bikes so extra visibility helps for safety as well. Although I think they were also just having some fun on the quads at night time...
  22. On this topic - who would be the better option in Cape Town for Fox Fork servicing?
  23. JEEZZ! Sorry for that horrific grammar and spelling attack! I think faster than I type. Hope you got what I meant?
  24. Will you let us know what Johan says? I Don't want to smother him with same requests as you as my fork has also started leaking by the local guys ar charging me and arm, one leg and lots of money to service my fox...
