  1. I actually see Giant Bob's intentions here. Those guys are the exact people that us motorist always complain about and they will just keep on dragging our names as cyclists through the mud. Nevermind the drama they will cause to other innocent people...
  2. I know this has been mentioned many times before but am I the only one getting fed up with the crime these days? They broke into my house in January and took basically all electronics goods, watches, jewellery... On sunday morning they came into my office while I was in the factory, stole my motorcycle jacket with my wallet and now today I get phone call after phone call from the banks to varify transactions. Cards have been stopped but still a nightmare. Won't emmigrate but feel like taking the law into my own hands and being irresponsible Anybody have the same feelings about crime??
  3. I'm in for any design, all looks good but agree with the "too much black in the sun is bad thing". Definitely put my name up for a set!!
  4. CC307, I must admit what some guys said before does carry some weight BUT getting told to go ride your bike somewhere else because you don't feel like getting ripped off is bull****. I try to ride every weekend race possible but can't always afford it. This does not make me cheap. As an example, the Franschoek MTB race last weekend I paid R60 entry. Excellent race organising, awesome route and they give you a water bottle instead of medal. Someone used their brains for a change. Just my 2cents.
  5. HomerS, I was standing a few guys behind this A$$-wipe while the discussion was going on. You guys have my full sympathy with guys like this! But on the same note - I'm still waiting for my new number... Any contact person that I can phone to sort this out?
  6. Hi Ronelle, Kry nou eers weer die post maar ek wou al lankal baie dankie s?! Sal verseker weer na julle kom! Jacques
  7. I regularly climb Majik reverse way round(going up single track) and in my opinion I'm the one going against the traffic thus I need to move out of the way. I can also hear the guys coming down easier than they can hear me suffering uphill. Thus, they have ROW at all times - no exceptions. Just my way of seeing this.
  8. Kenda Nevegal's!!!
  9. I've had mine for over 2,5years now and only replaced the watch and body strap battery. Still keeps ticking strong - best investment sportwise in a long time
  10. Did the red route, also found it bit short but still had a great time!! Thanks to all involved. Also big up to everyone who joined for coffee!
  11. Cool stuff guys! I'll be riding a black Merida HFS 3000, Redish Bell helmet, white and black first ascent top. See you there!! Jacques
  12. Will definitely be there! Anyone on the hub interested for a quick meet and greet there on saturday? Just to support the club and put some names to faces?
  13. Same kind of service from Salomon shoes. Brand new pair of shoes after pull strings snapped. No questions asked just phoned to tell me I can collect new shoes!! Love it when a guarantee works
  14. When I bought my first property it was below R500k and I was seen as a first time buyer thus you get 108% bond without a problem from the bank. Now you need flippen need roughly R220K just to qualify for a bond and pay for transfers! Getting screwed is an understatement - ass raped is more like it!! Meanwhile some idiot in parlement buys himself a car to the value of my dream home.. Something is very very wrong with this picture guys...
  15. What makes transfer duties so high?? I'm buying a place to the value of R1,350,000-00 and the transfer costs are R72500-00!! I can buy one hell of a bike with that kind of money... Can any conveyancy lawyers give me some clarification on this?
  16. Sounds to me like a bull story. Rather contact ABSA HQ and enquire directly before paying any monies over. Even if it is only R523, that amount could buy some riding goodies
  17. Jatho, I think the reason why Spykilem started this post was to make others more attent not to name and shame the bugger...
  18. I bought Nevegals last week before the long weekend. Rode long flat gravel road, technical single track and some mud/wet patches and had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I would recommen these Kenda Nevegal tubeless to anyone!! I'm a happy chappy about them
  19. This is unfortunately where I lose all available patience and tell him to f-off. Which in turn will probably land me in jail for insulting an officer of the law(read: unlawful). The statement that Chick made is true to the absolute last word. BUT, I think this was how all blacks and coloured people were treated in the old days. Reverse racism...... My 2cents.
  20. You need someone to do a custome moulding for you. PM me some more details and I'll see what I can do for you. I'm in the plastics industry but in Rotational Moulding which is bit off line to EVA and mould making but know a few guys in the industry.
  21. Joey Rasdien - Show Dem. Makes you proud to be south african
  22. Someone mentioned somewhere on the hub about displaying number boards on your bike.. Saw a few guys at hillcrest today but no one had anything that looked like number boards. What does it look like and where should it be on the bike?
  23. Are they going to drop in at every pub or restuarant to do a check up? What's the disciplinary steps going to be like for people not adhering to these new "regulations"? Ridiculous....
  24. My current schwalbe's are getting worn down badly - can anyone tell me who stocks them as I can't find anyone in SA... Cheers!
  25. Bustthesickness- dude, my opinion is that you had some serious dosage of prozac or any kind of "ek-voel-fokol" pills as you have no idea what humanity and self preservation is about. Do everyone a favour and somehow de-register yourself from thehub, sell you bike and move in with marilyn manson....
