  1. I dealt with Wayne 3 weeks ago. He confirmed that the item would have to be ordered from supplier. from the time of 1st contact to delivery was 5 working days. Pricing was very good and Wayne was on the ball.

BTW. I am based in KZN.

Hey Guys looking for a new neutral tempo / race shoe recommendation (5km-10km, max a 21km but maybe once every 6 months). I currently use the following

Asics Gel Nimbus 23 (for long runs - with inners)

Asics Gel DS Trainer 24 (tempo runs - no inner)

Nike Pegasus 23 (Gym and casual runs - no inner)

Budget is around R 2 000 and I prefer Nike or Asics but open to suggestions. Will probably buy from a factory shop / previous generation to get around budget.

    Thanks

Also have a look at the asics noosa tri 14. They are on special for R 2000. Very good shoe and so comfortable.

I dont know if I set it up on mine or if it came pre set, but mine auto shuts off after a period of inactivity

That is my concern. I was wondering if it stays on when in in extended display mode. This function basically mirrors your watch to the edge 130 and you get total elapsed time etc on the edge computer. Sorry if i`m not making much sense. Still trying to figure it all out.

  4. Hi all.

Just a heads up. I was enquiring on a garmin fenix 5s plus i saw advertised on bikehub.

The seller called me and dropped the price considerably without me even asking him to, he also offered to courier it to me for free.

He requested i pay via cash send. When i requested to pay via hubpay, he said he does not know what that is and was insistent on the cash send option.

He called me back and said his wife said i could pay half now and half when i receive the article.

I have reported the activity to the powers that be and they have removed and blocked the advert.

I cant imagine how much money they are earning with these scams.

  5. I've sent a message to the previous LBS, who also helped check the bike during the negotiations process, and who shipped it to me. Hopefully they can give me a service history on the bike. I'll try find an LBS around me who could possibly help, but I'm not sure who the Cannondale agents are in my area. If anyone knows of an agent in the Durban/Hillcrest area, that would be great.

the bike guru in hillcrest would be able to advise you....0837992083

  6. Am i doing something wrong ?

    i ran a 4km in 19.53

my step cadence was 169 spm

    Average stride length was 1.19m

    I am 1.79m in height

If i take shorter but quicker steps will this not increase my spm, Or should i concentrate on longer strides ?

I feel that the longer strides will lessen my stp .

I am not too clued on the running metrics etc, so apologies if my question sounds stupid.

  7. I have the salomon sense ride 3 trail shoes and have just purchased the sense ride 4.

I must say they are the most comfortable trail shoes i have ever owned.

I was looking for another pair of the 3`s , however they were sold out in SA in my size, so got the 4`s

Very similar to the version 3 and could not be happier.

  8. Hi hubbers, I have my eye on a running vest/pack from Inov-8 but need some help.

I'm looking at the Inov-8 Ultra Pro 2in1 vest and was wondering if anyone has some experience with it? I've watched all of the videos and read all of the reviews but none of them really go into detail of the "main pack". All of them focus on the extendable pocket.

Is the "main pack" without the extended pocket a usable vest? Is the back only a mesh or is it also a usable pocket. I know it's small but will I be able to carry a rain jacket and some other small pieces of kit with me?

    TIA!

Check out the description on the following website. Seems they have a fair amount of info on the pack.
