  1. Its awesome how quick they can pull it off. They look pretty relaxed about it too. I imagine that they have the frames done and ready. (I mean I doubt they paint it over night...)
  2. Is this person still in operation? Are you able to name this individual? Just so that I know not to do business there (or to look there if a bike is stolen...)
  3. Its amazing. No real facts, yet we have a rip roaring argument. The Hub. That just happened!
  4. Awesome news! Congratulations and welcome to the club.
  5. I would love to know the story behind this question...
  6. Well, blow me down! They did discuss it. Very quickly...
  7. Doh! I only heard the 7:00 news. Typical comment from him!
  8. My daughter getting into the vibe
  9. And the consumers applaud people like you and CWC. But how much trouble have you had from the importers and distributors a la Mavicgate @ Chris Willemse's?
  10. How old is he again?
  11. & 5fm - with no snotty comments from Gareth.
  12. Everyone is so quick and keen to crucify the LBS - what about the distributors and importers mentioned? Don't they deserve a bit of everyone's vitriol?
  13. Released for 2010 TdF - Spartacus Edition
  14. Edd Zachary!
  15. The link This appeared to be common knowlegde on The Hub when it was all hitting the fan. It took long enough, now its official. So now what?
  16. I weigh 100kg and ride dual suspension. I dinged my Mavic 819 rear rim (and punctured the tyre) because I hit a dry rocky riverbed at speed on my rear wheel. Silly riding and low tyre pressure were the reasons. The rim remained true, but now has a flat spot and a repaired/straightened sidewall at the impact area.
  17. I friend of mine has AC wheels on her MTB, but really battles with the skewers. She is a pretty accomplished rider and not a technophobe, but the skewers come loose often. If you hand tighten the small nut, its too tight to close and if its a bit loose, they open while riding. She/we find it difficult to find the right spot so they stay closed. Does anyone else have this problem?
  18. Mornin' I was there, but feeling kinda half hearted about riding and sort of hoping that no one would pitch... I was about to go home when some other guys started arriving, so I joined them. Glad I went, we had a very nice ride. Lovely evening again. I will skip next week 'cos of Knysna, but will be back the following week. Keen to keep it Wednesday if everyone else is. Hope you feel better ASAP.
  19. Perhaps upgrade to full outer cables (if you haven't already) and take a spare set along. I assume your multi tool has a chain breaker? Possibly add a pair or two of brake pads. A UST valve (?) A few spokes (especially if they are unusual)
  20. Anthem X is supposed to be more race orientated than the Trance X. 100mm front and rear suspension vs 120mm for starters.
  21. OK, so what sort of turn out is expected for tonight? Who is leading the charge and what route is planned.
  22. That makes McGyver look quite pedestrian. Nice one!
  23. I am keen to ride on Wed. I will try not to pansy out this time...
  24. Nice machine! Is this to fill that gap 'till the HD arrives? How is your wrist?
  25. I have Ritchey on my road bike and Thomson with Easton on my MTB. Those are the 3 brands that stick out for me.
