  1. I would have loved to have been there to listen to the conversation with the bus driver.
  2. Glad he is OK. Did the bus stop?
  3. That list needs some serious updating. Its very far behind the times.
  4. Do they say why you HAVE TO HAVE a showroom? I mean do they supply a reason that is easy to understand? I would love to say, 'Oh! OK. I get it!' Or is it just to protect the brick and mortar stores? Coolheat goes through patches where they are out of stock on basic stuff - can they really be that demanding? (lets not get into pricing)
  5. i.e. they wont supply to online shops? w.t.f. has a showroom got to do with anything?

  7. For the last 2 issues, I have been getting 2 copies. Maybe one of them was meant for you...
  8. Maybe reduce your pressure. 2.3 is quite a lot for the front (in my personal opinion) The Conti's are quite soft tyres. I quite like them, but find them a little delicate (compared to Nevegals)
  9. Its kinda personal preference. I like the shape (rise & sweep) of risers more than flat bars. But then I had to invert my stem & remove spacers below the stem to drop the bars down. My mate on the same bike is sticking to his flats. Risers lift you up a bit and are supposed to offer a bit more control because of their width Flats drop you down for a more aggressive position (XC racer) Theoretically, you could achieve the same postion with spacers and stem orientation.
  10. Wow! And I thought I was lucky if I got sex on my birthday! B)
  11. 2011 frames out in mid October apparently. Try here for an idea of what's coming: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-AU/bikes/model/tcr.advanced.sl.0/7264/44160/ SA seems to get similar spec to Australia.

Aren't XT spokes also hard to come by?

What about some hand builts? Hope Pro II with ZTR Crest and DT Comp spokes?
  14. I wonder how that will compare in price to other existing systems. Polar wasnt exactly the leader with their power meters in the past. I once again wonder how this will compare. Is this aimed at pro's or joe's?
  15. It may well be your ass and not your calves! (post a pic!) A strong good looking female cyclist in lycra is VERY attractive. Its difficult to just ride past. I find I have to recover a bit... Or... Maybe you are so strong, the guys can only hang on and not come to the front...
  16. After spending that much money, you gotta kind of commit to it!
  17. I am riding to work and back today, so wont make tonight. Nor will Browndog. Enjoy!
  18. My dear wife is relieved I am not a keen golfer with early morning Tee Offs and long 19th hole sessions (a golf widow) She also realises how happy it makes me and concedes that I am a better husband and father if I get out and ride a few times a week. She gets her gym days and I get my riding days and everyone is (mostly) happy. She is also a lot more observant than I thought! I swapped my black Shimano pedals for some black Keo's and she started asking questions. Coming from someone who doesnt know what brand of bikes I have, I was impressed/amazed and bust! Ha Ha
  19. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission...
  20. There are lots of potential buyers that also just dissapear. Lots of questions, sound keen and then nothing. Not even the courtesy to say 'Thanks, but no thanks'
  21. Awesome bike! Interesting shop too! http://asteriskcycles.wordpress.com/2010/02/25/yls-giant-tcr-advanced-sl-1-isp/
  22. I am having similar thoughts and am leaning towards Easton EA70 or if I could stretch the budget a little more, EA90 SL.
  23. HAHAHAHA! Me too. But I often get a snide remark from my dear wife. I tell her tight shirts are more aerodynamic.... Anyway, current weight: 103kg target weight: 95kg Tight shirts motivate me to ride more and try and eat less. (shorts are stretchy anyway...)
  24. How important is aerodynamics on a road frame? Time trial bikes, yes. 'Normal' road bikes? I am not so sure, unless the rider is a breakaway specialist and is riding with 80mm deep section wheels and a skin suit etc. Most of the time we are in the bunch? That said, I just got the TCR Advanced frame and its fantastic! Seems stiff as hell and corners like its on rails with great vibration absorbsion. I need to get fit and lose a good few kilos, but I cant wait till I can really give it horns and give it the attention it deserves.
  25. Thanks for posting that. Good to know that we havent been breaking any rules or laws as its says nothing about the mast or level 5 etc. I have yet to see a register to sign though.
