  1. Does this site always stream the races?
  2. That second place battle is awesome!!! Nobody can be sure of anything there....
  3. The battle for the lesser places is intense. Perhaps Formula 1 has managed to break the series of procession we have seen the last ten years....
  4. Vettel not fast enough on straight to catch the Force India... Kobayashi pulling away from Alonso.
  5. Wow....chaos from 4th backwards....loveit!!!!
  6. Today is going to be very interesting. I would hazard a guess as to the outcome, but I think Sauber will be well up in the result...they are very racy this season. My hope though is a Mercedes win, but also a good result for Ferrari...
  7. Did that twice this weekend.... First when the Sharks won..... And then when Mercedes took pole position.... It softens the blow of Ferrari's non-performance
  8. Yaroslav Popovych....

Same here, also only had Meccano, never any Lego. I put my remote aeroplane's engine on a Meccano car I built. Managed to catch up to it three blocks away....
  10. Uhm....looks like it is slang for just about everything then
  11. Same meaning....americans tend to use buff more than boff. But then they do not speak english, do they
  12. Slang for a knowledgeable fella.....
  13. Do you have concrete evidence.....
  14. I started the Tour Durban with one of those longsleeved thermals you get at MR Price sports......by 8 am I was stewing nicely. Only finished at around 12, so I was well beyond overcooked
  15. Hijack answer on: I do my own necks, most of the builds are neck-through though. Busy working on a bolt-on now. My first bass was scary, so I decided to go for a trapezoidal neck, not the standard oval shape. It is actually very comfy, and sits nicely in the folds of my hands, but takes getting used to. I buy hardware on e-bay, mostly from China. I have used both high brand and chinese knockoffs, and cannot give you an indication of what is the best....that goes for the electronic components, although the bass in the pic has a chinese bridge and machine heads and they are very stable. All the hardware cost me about R700. The bass has two enclosed humbuckers with passive electronics. The switches allow me to seperately switch out the inner coils of each humbucker, giving it a slight jazz bass type tone. Putting the back p/u in single and the front normal gives a nice, slighty bright, boom. One of my friends is pro player, and wanted to take this bass to the CT Jazz festival, but the logistics prevented me getting the bass to him, plus he asked me two hours before he left I am a hobbyist, not a luthier, so experience is not up there (counting by the amount of direction changes I had to make to cover small mistakes. I also use mostly hand tools, and handheld powertools. Hijack answer off.
  16. BTW, my winter kit is a duvet..... Hat, coat......
  17. Reminds of the time my cousin demanded very expensive pair of tennis shoes for school tennis (R800 in 1992), but discarded them after wearing them once due to the fact that they were not worn in. Cue a week later, when my uncle's garden technician comes to work. My uncle tells hime to wear the shoes whilst mowing the lawn, and off the mower goes. Ten minutes later the tech knocnks on the door, explaining that the shoes are getting green from the mown lawn. Uncle, being very practical, pull two shopping bags over the shoes and off the tech goes to finish the job. It was the starngest sight, seeing this spectacle. Needless to say, the shoes were worn in, and at my uncle's insistence she tried the shoes again, this time praising the shoes for their comfort and effectiveness. She only found out about ten years later how the transformation came about
  18. Thought this is a good reflection of service delivery...although I got some very prompt service out of Vodacom the other....blind chickren syndrome
  19. Had friends who stayed near the start, and had a non-cycling family member take the car to the finish.
  20. You could earn a kick in the proverbials if you complained about her.....
  21. Say hi to pappa.....
  22. Probably the more logical solution...best of both worlds if the crotch seam on normal baggies doesn't cause extra chafing....
  23. Bugger that....I am putting my world domination plan into action....I will make sure she pops around to my place then
