  1. Any new Android phone will allow you to enable tracking. Problem is that it will only work until the battery dies as they guys will have it factory reset and new custom ROM installed. Also the guys will wrap it in tin foil to prevent any signal coming from the phone.
  2. This one even feature in the Science Of Stupid National Geographic series. Think its episode 4.
  3. R71K .... I just found my 40th present for next year and wife just asked me on Sunday what can she buy me ...
  4. Saw this last week parked outside the office ...
  5. Because a bit of Bieber mixed in with 1D keeps me regular in the morning.
  6. Well as long as there are buyers, there will be sellers and suppliers.
  7. I'm very aware of that, you might want to check my role on The Hub as well.
  8. I stopped cycling my Sunday route a few years back after many Hubbers got attacked. One even ended in hospital. This is on open road with lots of traffic. Our local trails up the road from me are starting to experience a lot of problems. A lot does not end up on this forum to warn others. Soon we will be limited to expensive trails when we need to start paying for visible security. Its rather sad.
  9. Not what I'm reading, you put too much trust into what you see in movies.
  10. Its just so sad to here of all the crime against cyclists and it seems it killing the sport. I look outside and see the most epic day to jump onto the saddle and hit the trails up Sir Lowry's Pass but there have been so many attacks recently that its a question of where on the trail you will be hit and not if. Then I read my international cycling safety twitter feeds with daily stories of similar crimes in the US & UK (but with less fear of loss of life). One also needs to consider the absolute lack of respect by motorists throughout the world towards us as well. I hope the sport can find a turnaround solution as I would hate to see cycling limited to console simulators.
  11. She was asked to take the dog for a walk ....
  12. Just waiting for Crank Brothers to get their egg beaters in pink.
  13. Picked up a bike for my little one on Tuesday and she loves it. She has been riding non-stop with it. This morning she had to show it off to the nanny. Real little Hubber.
  14. Really impressed, got my keys in my postbox on Wednesday. Thats less than two weeks with all these silly holidays to slow down SAPO. (But I've never complained about my local SAPO as they have always been tops).
  15. Nice. I was originally going to get the New Yorker but the price was a bit ouch for me back then. I'm no weight weenie so the extra 2kgs would never have bothered me.
  16. Not disputing that the well equipped pro bicycle thief would be able to break the lock with minimal noise or suspicion but since they are far and few in this country (unlike Holland), my Kryptonite is a big enough deterrent in this country that I've locked my bike plenty of times at next to our taxi rank without fear. Important part is that my insurance is happy with my lock <-- thats the part that counts.
  17. Depends on which lock you buy. They have different grades depending where in the world you live. Funny that first world country bike thieves seem to be the best equipped. You should check out the New Yorker lock but I'm afraid you would get targeted as its a big challenge call to criminals But it is worth looking at the youtube clips on the guys using angle grinders on the Kryptonite range. Trust me, if I had a guy starting up my angle grinder in my garage at 1am I would be very aware of what is going on and so would the rest of the neighbourhood.
  18. I got mine from TakeAlot when they still had their Amazon portal. Have seen them locally and on CRC. http://www.saundersonsecurity.co.za/acatalog/Kryptonite_U-Locks.html I've bought some other items from Saunders and their lock prices are better than what I paid for mine 4 years ago.
  19. Kryptonite locks are tough, as in Chuck Norris Tuff, as in leg splitting two Volvo truck Van Damme tuff, as in FRAIL Tuff ... you get the message. But what happens when you discover you lost the one key to your Kryptonite U-Lock and paranoia sets in that should the other key go missing (MIA as it searches for its lost friend). You start wondering if that diamond cutting disc will work on the lock. You wonder if you should start making friends with ATM bombers just in case they need to help you blow up the lock (and you garage in the process). Well this is where the Key-Safe Program comes in. Kryptonite will send you your first replacement set for free if your lock qualifies for the program. Normal price is only $6 a key but nice to know that they premium price you pay for these locks allows the company to absorb a $12 "gift". Anyway, ordering the locks requires to send an email which takes a couple of days to get a reply where they ask for your lock details. if you are paranoid, you can pre-register your key-lock on their site. I will be updating once I get my keys.
  20. My son told me last night wants a  Lego Ninjago  birthday party next month, so I told him, why not, lets do it !
  21. That's how it starts with most of us.
  22. I love mine and nothing beats this. I love the sound it makes and the smell of freshly grinded beans.
  23. Once you start using fresh herbs you will be hooked. Tomorrow I'm preparing a larger area for my herb garden as a result and 4 months ago it started off as two herbs in the window. My wife cannot believe how amazing food tastes with fresh herbs.
  24. My son loves Airwolf as much as I did as a child.
