The ladies race for the Kremetart is something special. Only the Kremetart has consistantly paid the same amounts in prizes to men and women, so women earn 5 times per capita the men do. According to UCI rules no women may take part in The Kremetart as under UCI rules women are limited to 130km in a day. It looks like a few women have given the finger to UCI in the past ....

A " Kremetart" and the bunch. The Boabab only occurs naturally in South Africa from the Northern slopes of the Zoutpansberg which are seen in the background. South of the mountains it is too cold for the giants.

Tuis won the last stage with a brilliant ride, and finished 2nd overall. I was Race Ref so I had a close up view of his ride over Otto's Hoogte. He would have won but for a puncture on stage 2 or 3

Always inflate the tyre with the valve at the top, and do not put the sealant in through the valve - open the casing at the rim to put in sealant. Do thoose two small things and it will not clog at all.

You just need to get the cups with english thread to screw into the frame BB. Rest should be fine.

Yesterday I had a sneak preview of the Mayor of Makhado's message for the Kremetart. From the message it is apparent that the value of the Kremetart to the region is recognised by the council and the event has their full support. From Kremetart 2002 - who can put names to the faces?

On the Sunday after the Kremetart there are Mountain Bike races, in Hanglip forest. The 20, 30 & 40km rides have some Fantastic downhill singletrack in indigenous forest. Be warned The Zoutpansberg is a serious mountain so the 40km will involve about 800m of ascent, but all of it is in forest.

I used an SA electronics online store who do that. They courier direct from Mainland China to your door. You gotta pay the vat to the courier but its based on the onlines store's price not the retail price which includes the courier, so the VAT is less than 10%. About 5 days from China to your door.
