  6. This fella was in our bedroom this week , and our maid wanted it dead. My wife however relocated it upstairs to the Gym. She would rather have the spider than Geckos. So I guess its our latest pet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palystes (Our maid thinks we are plain crazy - when last home I relocated a snake from the linen cupboard to the veld down the road)

It seems they have increased their uses for the dogs.

  16. My memories of Basil Cohen and Deale & Huth go back to Main street to the shop where the Carlton Hotel was, before they moved a block down Main street when the old shop was demolished to make way for the Carlton Centre. The Shop on DF Malan was a later branch managed by Harry Bloomfield.

  21. My daily Dharma email to-day from Tricycle.com was a Koan from my favourite poet, songwriter and singer. Only one thing made him happy and now that it was gone everything made him happy. Leonard Cohen, "Leonard Koan"
  22. When the valve stem broke on my bike here at work in the Congo, I used Pratley's putty to glue the valve into the stem. This left the stem too short and the airway half blocked so my pump and C02 fittings would not work to re-inflate the tubeless tyre . I solved the problem using the CO2 fire extinguisher conveniently located outside my room to re-inflate.
