  1. I blame the media for his apparent modesty. The media carries significant power to paint you as a good guy, or a villian (if you exude cockiness, arrogance, over-confidence). That being said, I'm not Mathieu's close friend, so what he's really like can only be confirmed by those closest to him, even if they are willing to spill anything.
  2. So why did he leave GCN? I'm not saying the presenters they have now are crappy.
  3. Hi, my name is mecheng89, and I'm still a DSTV subscriber 🤣
  4. He came 3rd in the end. He tried hard to get to the front but never managed. You win some, you lose some. Here's to hoping he's at least in the second row for the XCO. Sagan didn't do too shabby starting right at the back. Finished 37th overall, a little over a minute back. https://www.uci.org/competition-details/2023/MTB/69008
  5. Is ample parking meant to attract me? All of these things are the expectation and not an exception.
  6. MVDP not doing XCC. I'm unsure about PS.
  7. https://cyclinguptodate.com/mountain-bike/mathieu-van-der-poel-might-start-in-short-track-if-the-qualification-gets-postponed-due-to-bad-weather
  8. It's getting rather old, (you'll understand if you watch F1).
  9. Well, that's why I said ability. 3rd place isn't first, but it's not 4th or 20th (like Remco).
  10. Was that photo taken with a Nokia 3310?
  11. Have you ever seen Pogacar tired after a race? Well, now you have. The frightening thing is, after this showing, it shows Pogacar has the ability to win on any parcour. WVA to an extent as well.
  12. Tadej Pogacar to the UCI boss - the crit race was 2 laps too long, sir.
  13. Well done WVA for silver, and a surpised 3rd for TP. MP must be livid.
  14. There we go. Well done MVDP.
  15. Has anyone ever won Paris Roubaix and Worlds in the same year? Has any male ever held CX and road rainbow bands? Could he make it a third!?
  16. Pogi won't. The other 2 have a better sprint. If Pogi doesn't break away very soon from now, he's fourth, better luck in 2024.
  17. Pogi is showing a pain face. Mad respect for Mads.
  18. Callum Ormiston, a late sub for Stefan de Bod, abandons.
  19. Avancini wins. Matt Beers - 20th, 8m23s back Alan H - 22nd, 9m45s back
  20. City laps have started. Okes are dropping already after the first climb.
  21. https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/callum-ormiston I actually think he was a late sub for Stefan de Bod.
  22. The UCI big boss has asked for the cyclists to go past. The protestors are refusing for motor vehicles and motorcycles to pass. This must therefore be an environmental protest.
