  1. Are you doing this for insurance purposes?
  2. CSA racing license, which will set you back a total of about R800, and naturally the entry fee. Age categories ranging from elites (including under 23s up to whatever). Then the traditional 30-34yo, 35-39, 40-44 (you see the pattern). Typically lap racing, and the distance for the younger men/women are longer than for the older participants. Start by getting to know this website. http://results.racetec.co.za/results_by_event.aspx?RID=12195&EN=Sun 16%2F01%2F2022 Gauteng Road Champs 2022 (132km)
  3. These people? http://www.bolwear.co.za/get-in-touch/
  4. I'd like to think this is what the BH was known for before, but not so much anymore.
  5. Refreshing.
  6. I saw a picture a few weeks ago where that road was wrecked after those huge rains we had. In what condition is the road now?
  7. I was in BL at that time. Lucky for me I did not tumble, but I can't say the same for 2 mates - one with a wrecked RD, another with a wrecked shoulder. Bunch racing is not easy!
  8. This has been postponed to 2 May.
  9. Lurv the paintjob. Who did that for you?
  10. Gravel bike FTW 🤭
  11. I had a closer look at Fulgaz yesterday, and the videos look very appealing. I see someone managed to record the entire CTCT, so since I failed to finish it this year, I might juts tackle it on Fulgaz! 14 trial period, like most.
  12. The problem here might be availability. Trek probably sells it to our SA branch at a mark up, then our local Trek agent will sell it at a further margin.
  13. I'm a former BMG employee. Their mark-ups are customer dependant. But the margins aren't as huge as you might think.
  14. LBSs purposefully place big mark ups on spare and wear parts.
  15. Why? I think SYSTM/Suf are sticking to their guns by forcing you to do what they believe you should. It's their philosophy. If you want flexibility in your training programme, try Xert. TR are now putting their own spin on this "adaptive training". What makes Xert a bit more appealing is the fact you never have to do a threshold test, unlike all the other platforms. It's clear the market is very diverse. If you can't pick a system (lol) based on the growing list, perhaps structured training isn't for you (collective noun).
  16. I too have switched over to SYSTM. I did a 4DP test last week so that I could start an All Purpose program. Nothing in particular I'm training for, but I need to gain fitness.
  17. Correct. But I'm saying that my main goal is the Tron bike, secondary being the double XP. Is the ToW over yet?
  18. Morning all. Anyone use Ciovita's Indoor bib? Need to replace some of my "indoor use" bibs and am looking for some quality stuff. I know another company called NoPinz also does "IDT" bibs.
  19. Talking about Ciovita, has anyone tried their Indoor bib?

    Formula 1...

Sainz and Le Clerq raced what seems to be a flawless race. Well done to them. The best team won.
  22. I'll have to ask for a spare set of 27.5" wheels to see what'll fit, I don't think 29" will fit with decent tyres.
  23. What hardware were you using?
  24. Your clearance at the BB looks min.
