  1. Does anyone know what MTB trails are available in the Cathedral Peak area of the Drakensberg? I know there is about 15km of trails near the hotel but I am looking for longer trails. Maybe into the neibouring villiage areas? Maybe along the contour paths to Drakensburg Sun? Is there a way across to the Northern berg to Chris' AOA trails? The ideal would be to files that I could load onto my Garmin.
  2. I have 2 entries available. Will PM you
  3. Don't under estimate Stage 7 Rabavu to Kigali is a long hard day in the saddle.
  4. Hane a look at this stream. http://www.thehubsa....y-graeme-murry/ Could also go to your Local Bike Shop (LBS) for advise. There are lots of options available.
  5. I have both at the moment. My rollers are simply mining conveyor rollers with a size 24 tube making them roll together. There is more than enough resistance to give me a decent workout. 45 minutes on the rollers is like an hour 15 on the A frame. I have also fallen off a number of times, but hay that is part of the fun. Just make sure the prize vase is not near
  6. I have read this thread, and for Looks, the stom seems to get 10/10. There are however only a handfull of guys who have ridden one. Most importantly, no one has compared it to other 29er hard tails. I am specifically interested in the Ghost HTX 29 Actium 9500. Although this is an Aluminium frame, it seems to have all the specs of a champ. Any comments
  7. The size is the main thing. I would not take the GT because of the size. There should however be a XT specked bike available in a small.
  8. I tried the Marathon Fuel recently and it is great. It should work well for the 24 hour. It has 14.3g of protein per serving. This will be needed for such a long ride. Let us know how it goes. .. Available from www.ballisticbiketrading.co.za R265 x VAT or so.
  9. Could convince your brother to drive you to Pietermaritzburg for the MTB XC/DH World Cup - 17th and 18th March, or do the Northerns Quicky in Jhb on the 18th. PM if you want more details.

  19. Hi Hubbers As soon as I let go the handle bars on my Silverback Nabraska, the front wheel starts to swerve from side to side, so much so that I can never go free hand. I have replaced the front fork, but this has not helped. Any suggestions? OneMac
