  1. Ah thanks that refresh worked.
  2. I missed the cut off, was in Lesotho. Ok so original list will pull across when the stage starts?
  3. not sure whats happening but my phase 2 team seems to be completely empty. How is that possible?
  4. Márquez isn't ridding this one.
  5. Ok so after the 50th change-up I'm finally happy with the balance of my team. Until Tomorrow
  6. Got to cycle alongside Andre Greipel the other day, for the 5 seconds Zwift matches pace with him. Then he was gone like a cupcake at a fat kids party.
  7. A 5 hour cutoff for a marathon? That's a bit harsh.
  8. you made the right choice to get out. Pushing through stiffness is ok but you shouldn't push through pain, the risk is just too high. Rather cut a session short than aggravate an injury forcing you out longer.
  9. In December I ordered on the Thursday 27th sent via DHL. Parcel was in SA by Saturday, due to holidays was delivered 2nd Jan. Can't complain about that.
  10. Well done and welcome to the family Triathlete. Yeah practise those open water swims and pay special attention to practising restraint in the first 400meteres or so. Keep your heart rate down, start right at the back of the bunch if you new, you will catch up later on in the race when people go through what you just went through. Also remember not to burn all your matches on the ride. Dont treat it like a normal weekend ride. Remember those legs need to get you through the run as well. Also the nutrition you taking on the bike (for shorter trithlons)is to fuel your run, the food before you race is to fuel your ride. Dont go to heavy on the liquids or you will be slooshing around on the run. Blisters can be from a number of things were your shoes wet? Practice you brick sessions, not just bike to run but swim to bike as well. Dont be hard on your self these things take time to get used to. Well done though
  11. Are saddles under components? Worried the material part shows up as textile.
  12. Pro riders don't have saddle bags, cause they have so much stuff they need on the ride they have an entire frikken car following them around handing them stuff. I don't have that luxury unfortunately so i will carry a saddle bag. Besides my extra tubes and spares don't fit in my shirt pockets with all the beer packed in there.
  13. I just want to know what is required to collect a number for someone else? Got a friend going to cyclelab to collect hers if possible would like her to collect for me and my other friend (our nano peleton)
  14. Thats what the website says yes! Number collection points will be the following bike shops, on the dates listed below: Wednesday, 25 October 2017 - CycleLab, Lynnwood, Pretoria (09:00 - 17:00);Thursday, 26 October 2017 - CycleLab Megastore, Fourways (09:00 - 17:00);Friday, 27 October 2017 - CycleLab Boksburg (09:00-17:00);Saturday, 28 October 2017 - Carnival City (06:00 - 13:00);* Sunday, 29 October 2017 - Carnival City (05:00 - 08:00).* Licensed cyclists are not allowed to collect numbers on race day - if this is a problem, we suggest signing the petition at registration to convert licensed cyclists to a permanent number for the year.
  15. Eish good to know thanks. Was looking at a new one before IM next year. Will save for the 935.
  16. Should be able to pick up a Garmin 910 for under R3k now. I use that, works great on everything up to a 70.3 so far. Pretty sure it can go a full ironman?? A little big but nothing hideous.
  17. Thanks yeah will keep doing that once a month. Luckily just did a ftp on the wattbike a couple weeks ago so could put that info in. Will do the zwift one this weekend or next once i get the hang of my new trainer setup. Love that I can use the trainer to micro adjust my indexing on my bike too. Been struggling with that. Previously had to use a combination of broom sticks and clothing racks for that.
  18. Finally got myself setup on Zwift. Its so awesome. Had my FTP setup way too high for my first workout (Wringer) holy balls I almost vomited. Fixed that FTP now.
  19. Try get to a 50m pool and do some laps there. You will be surprised how much that helps as well. The 50m pools are also very deep so help acclimatize a little more to open water. Try do a few drills like swimming with your eyes closed and see if you start swimming skew, then try some sigting drills where every 10th stroke or so take a quick look forward with your breath stroke. So if you breath to the right when you start your right arm recovery your head follows your arms forward and your eyes just break the surface of the water before you look down again (think crocodile eyes) this will help you keep straight and swimming extra meters. It takes quite a bit of practise to get your eyes out the water without dropping your legs (which applies the brakes). I'll most likely also be at 11 global probably doing the sprint and the olympic
  20. You have to leave them on your bike. No entry to bikes after racking in the morning. Most people freeze the bottles overnight. You check your bike in early and then they sit on the bike in the sun till race time. By then if not frozen before they are actually quite warm. On the bike turn around you can pick up bottles of pump water from the hydration point if you want to chuck your current bottles or just stop and fill them up.
  21. where's my rum? Oh right its in my Locker
  22. Had a coaching session with Mike from MAD multisport. He recons if you not competing to win a prize then save your energy for the race. I.e use the swim as the warm up, start slow towards the back then build up speed after about a 3rd of the distance. This is usually when you start passing the guys that went balls out from the gun.
