  1. Dear Toetie.. Jou ma se... Love, Cape Town.
  2. so in your experience, what's the number of sales that go through the front door versus the back? I would imagine that the front door sales are disproportionately larger than the back door sales. If that is indeed the case, yet the whole distributor+reseller model is sensitive to those few back door sales, then the model is seriously flawed and deserves to implode.
  3. I think all those many small items coming through SAPO from WISH is clogging up the system so much, they are charging a handling fee on those items normally considered LVI. I think its R24 or thereabouts. Pity those who have literally 10s and 100s of individual items coming through.
  4. if it worked in windows 7, its almost guaranteed to work in windows 10. Windows XP. i'm not too sure, but it shuold still work as the legacy APIs install and work just fine on windows 10. failing that, try compatibility mode, and failing that again, and if you really really must run that donkey's old game, try a windows virtual machine. failsafe option that comes with hassles.
  5. probably same way Apple found their rectangle with rounded corners more unique than other rectangle with rounded corners in the history of mankind's ability to draw.
  6. i hope those lights can swivel, cos if someone ever pointed that sort of laser in my direction at bed time, i'd slit their throats and sleep like a baby after...
  7. anyone with Xbone suffer black screen of death or other glitches during/after the 19 Oct update?

  9. you rubbing the shine onto that thing or off it???
  10. how's that Makita saw in the background ito accuracy and adjustability to achieve accuracy? Any arbor wobble?
  11. omw you remembered that! She's very fresh faced in Fringe, but ever so delightful I really appreciate Walter's role. His wackjob persona is very funny, but so easily swings to a demeanour bordering on evil. Really great acting there.
  12. Fired up Fringe again. Still interesting all these years later.
  13. In my quick search of SARS website, I couldn't find qualification of LVI. I did however, find a section dealing with sending and receiving items via the post office, of which the following was of interest: it wouldn't surprise me if there is a consistency around R1400 being a qualifying threshold value for items to be considered LVI, but I'm just guessing there. Best call SARS for the official word, but hopefully Lexx can give us the law of the land. That said, I don't recall the shoes package (which was noted as LVI)being below R1400 in value, so I'm inclined to be believe I simply got lucky.
  14. Contact Lexx. Local customs/import/export guru.
  15. thanks for reminding me about that show. Trailer looked very interesting. Does help that the delightful Anna Torv gets some screen time again. Been a while since Fringe
  16. S18E06 of Grand Designs was awesome. Finishing was a bit pressed for funds, but the overall design is mesmerizing.
  17. Afaik, yes. I update the percentages in the first post when SARS updates the schedules.
  18. they ship to ZA? how was the service and cost?
  19. initially, i drilled 19mm holes, but had to manually ream them larger to accomodate the spring on the dog. But it was still too damn tight. So drilled it out to 20mm and those dogs are working just fine. It's just a whiff on the loose side, but they are held securely and do not slip down, much less out. So yes 20mm holes do work with the canamerican dogs. edit: when I make the new work bench top, i think i'll go with 19.5mm holes.
  20. that is so fuggin annoying!
  21. enduro-mtb magazine rates that Maxxis the best outta the current crop of tyres seemingly preferred by the enduros out there. Pity that review only went with the snakeskin version of the Magic Mary. So much less squirm from the SG carcasses.
  22. great job RB! Cheers to years of great projects!
  23. add a bit of flair to the ill fitting dowel by splitting the dowel down a short length and across one diameter ( or both diameters to make a cross pattern),and wedge that sucker in using a contrasting or matching color wedge.
  24. your woodcarving of that horse is incredibly lifelike. well done!
  25. Meurent: yes thanks! flip, totally forgot his name. In hindsight, its a kind of fun challenge, especially those dam 'corners' of his. But when you've blown your gaskets, bar-eye coordination is in the dust. Twice i've jammed my hand between a tree and the bar toward the end of the stage.
