  1. How much are you willing to spend? there might be other better options available.
  2. I have post nasal drip through and through but worse at nightt, it wakes me up to cough at 2am for almost a week now. but its only on my throat, just wondering if riding might trigger something and make me sick again.
  3. Indoor trainer and ERG mode yes. I am doing a zwift TOW stage 7 tonight which is on a hilly road. I will try and spread my power and HR at different zones, will see if I can get a good.
  4. I did a steady ride on zone 2 (180W) for 1 hour but still I get "bad" on model fit
  5. I guess the people's immune systems differ. If I get cold or flu it will run for 5-6 days and I will try over the counter pills and feel better for a day or two but the sinuses will kick in thereafter it will be worse until I get antibiotics. So my Dr has no option but to prescribe AB's.
  6. So what is this new Model fit and how does it work? I keep getting (bad), is there a way to inprove this? I am following a time crunched cyclist training program and it has increased my FTP. I'm not sure what to read from model fit.
  7. No it cannot be seen as cheating because there are many people on zwift using the wheel on trainers. Also in real life I use a steel bike with heavy wheels for training but I race on a carbon bike with carbon wheels. I have lost 200w on my zwift sprint,no I cant.
  8. I did stage one on my wheel on trainer and it was all good. Last night for stage 2 I used my new wheel off and it was terrible, I am still sore even today. For races and Tours I will use my old trainer because its easier to hit the numbers I am used to. The new trainer will be for structured training.
  9. My Garmin 500 also lasted for +-5 years. Looks like these newer Garmins aren't strong.
  10. Last week Monday I send mine in, and on Thursday it was replaced with a brand new one after paying R1800. It looks like the life span of these 520 units is around 18 months then you need to fork out +-2k for a replacement...my question is,is it really worth it to pay 2k every 18 months for a bike PC? If something goes wrong again the next 18 months I will have to consider buying a Wahoo.

    Garmin 520

I had the same problem with my 520 usb charger pin last week. I took it to Garmin head office and they told me it cant be repaired, I need to pay R1800 for a replacement unit. My unit was 1,7 years old. My friend who does phone repairs told me that he can replace the charger port but unfortunately he cant source the Garmin charger port.
  12. I just could not be on my HR zone 5 no matter how hard I tried and on every climb all groups were just passing me, I don't know if it was because I had just completed 2 weeks of antibiotics course or am I catching URTI again.
  13. I was on antibiotics for URTI,I took the last one this morning, not sure if the pills throttled my power and HR because I could only reach 90% of my max HR no matter how hard I tried to push. Finished at 3:06. Disappointment I couldn't get a sub 3.
  14. Over the weekend Zwift deducted R145.00 from my account for November subscription. When is the increase effective date?
  15. This intervals.icu is amazing...much simpler to navigate as compared to golden cheetah, especially for us clever guys. I am very happy with what I can see now but I will do specific intervals during the week to test it even more.
  16. I use a wahoo kickR on ERG mode. And yes from time and again it does vary for +-3W from the specified Wattage.
  17. Yes I create it on Zwift and follow the parameters 100% by riding on a smart trainer. I have been riding on and off lately due to sinusitis, so maybe I should redo the test.
  18. Thank you for your BS (Best Shot) response.
  19. I have been checking the Stress points before doing some TP workout but I sometimes find that after the workout if for example the TSS on TP is 65, after the workout my TSS is about 73. Does this mean I have set my FTP too high?
  20. I started with the BL group and my bike was making a klak!klak!klak sound on the back wheel from start to finish. It irritated the S*&t out of my fellow riders . I discovered at the finishline that it was the derailuer cable that was touching my wheel, luckily no damage caused. I was happy to finish with the group.
  21. Went for late Trapnet registration today. Just wondering if the race will have enough support for the City Council to justify road closures in future.
