  1. I raised this from the onset but it looks like the organisers believe that if you are born between 20-29 and 9 years gaps there after then you should have the same power...hence I raced once and never again.
  2. I have the same problem but on my left foot only. Do I put spacers on the left pedal only or that will create an imbalance? I have the same probl
  3. Just give it a month or 2 it might fix itself, thats what happened to mine. I used to have drops from 500W to 0W up and down but without changing anything, the unit stabilised on its own and its been over a year now working perfectly.
  4. Power meters will aways have different power readings..just have a look at mine on the attachment - same heartrate reading but different power numbers.
  5. I think someone was sabotaging me yesterday because for some reason my wahoo kickr Snap kept on losing power to 0W throughout the race and also my heartrate monitor. This hasnt happening in the past 6 months since I changed the Ant+ extension cable my HR monitor has never for once has reading issues. I should have won the D category
  6. But now you are lining us up against the over 40's who race in VB when we are always somewhere in KL on the open seeding. Its a great initiative though, will give it a bash!
  7. Was there any particular reason for using age to categorize participants instead of w/kg?
  8. I have been having on and off flu-like symptomps almost every 2 to 3 week since December 2017. The last time I went to the Dr he gave me 5 antibiotics pills on a Tuesday and I asked if I could train on the weekend, he said in 3 days I should be ok and I can resume training. After drinking the 1st pill I felt 100% ok but I didnt train...on Saturday I took my 5th and last antibiotics pill just after the race...and it was all good. Check with your Dr he might allow you to train while you are on antibiotics.
  9. You guys are machines! please share that asthma pump with the rest of us.
  10. Is it only Alpe Du Zwift you did in 1:27:00 or is it the whole route from when you start riding to the top? I did Alpe Du Zwift in 1:24:17 last night but the whole Road to Sky Route, going up and coming down was 2hours.
  11. Just ordered mine last night and quickly called them by midday to change the colour, they had to call back the courier to come and change it. Happy with the quick reaction thus far. Looking forward to testing it this weekend.
  12. Drink that coffee with some rusks, especially the soft ones are very tasty.
  13. I tried to make myself a starring by helping out in the front of the BL group. It was not a good idea as I got to be spat out of the back after a few kilometers when we were about 7km to the finish line. The guys who were hanging at the back managed to finish nicely with the bunch. I liked the slow start building up nicely as we were warming up, unlike AL which usually starts as if its a 100m sprint competition. Nice race overal - I will do it over and over again.
  14. Almost missed last night's cut-off online entry, I thought it was closing today. In 2016 the weather was very bad with the rain, wind and very cold but I got my best seeding. Looking forward to this race.
  15. I am on the market for a good power meter. Just wondering if any hubbers with garmin vector 3s or any other good power meters who can comment on its pros and cons.
  16. Not 100% sure about the setup difference but I took both bikes for professional setup and I can definitely feel the riding difference between the two. One thing for sure is the crankarm length for the MTB is shorter than the road bike.
  17. I will suggest you get a bike that is as close as possible to your racing bike. I am using an MTB on my IDT and I get dropped during road bike races - I think its because the MTB is training different muscles to the muscles I use when using the road bike.
  18. Emperors, closing date is today. visit www.asgevents.co.za ...hurry whiles stock last!
  19. Same here... it lasts for +-60 days, some days you feel better than others. When this thing started last year I went to doctors but they couldnt help. I also went to my GP about weeks ago but it made no difference. I am just riding it away at zone 1 every other day. Nobody really knows the source, preventative and cures for some of these sicknesses... for some people I guess they need to stop cycling when sick but for me low efforts help.
  20. Nobody knows your body better than yourself. I always suffer from flu like symptoms from Feb until around June. I only get better if I ride my bike at a HR zone 1 for 30-45 min. If I just sleep and walk around taking flu medicine it never goes away.
  21. You should also thank me for voluntarily escorting you guys with my big boy scooter
  22. The future of SA cycling is very bright. Well done to him.
  23. I use Enduren cramp blocks on long rides otherwise if i dont my right hand becomes numb.
