Been shooting with both IS and non IS lenses for the past about 15 years. And a image shot at low light with an IS lense are just better and wild life photo's as well at full midday sun. There is a huge difference. Check the IS version for example the 70 - 200 f4 vs the 70 - 200 f4 IS version. It costs a crap load more on the IS, but the image quality is just way better. And not to mention video. If you shoot with a VSLR you get amazing results.

I just love IS lenses. Finding that I shoot more and more with the wife's lenses these days... You can see the difference with an IS lens. Just worth it.

Think the whole reason why I had to bike to BHS and then to WarmBaths are part of the no joy in the ride. But at one stage I ducked behind a truck to get into the slipstream to stand up and stretch a bit. Tried it doing 100km with a head wind and it caused a little strain om my arms and decided to take the less windy stance. Tried it behind the fols as well, but the Conqueror causes a very weird slip. there is not a lot of clean wash behind it. Felt like riding in a very severe thunderstorm behind them.

Had a horror of a day on the motorbike yesterday. They stole the keys of my parents this past weekend near Warmbaths (out of the off road camper with a new notebook and a very expensive watch (hope my dad had insurance) So had to bike from PTA to Bronhorstspruit, break into my parents house with the security firm looking on in disbelieve, get the keys for the bakkie, get on the N4 then N1 to Warmbaths, get the keys to the old people and get back to Pretoria. Must say I have a small spot of sun burn where the jacket did not cover my skin, but heck it was hot out there yesterday. So all in all about 300 km on the motorbike yesterday. First time I have ever gone that distance on the bike. Would not have been to bad, but I am a bit sick and have a torn muscle in my foot. So the day was fun, but painful.

Still not on the bike. The mental thing of that bitch in that BMW who tried to take me out on the sidewalk still haunts me. It is just as if I lost all motivation to get back on the bike as it is rather important to stay in once piece. And at this stage people just seems crazy as a old senile bat.

I skipped the commutes. I have skipped a few... But still have a little bug in the gut. Will have to commute from next week. I am turning into a huge ass hole...

I must sell my SS bike. We are moving and we do not have space for the bike any more. Will post the bike later on. Very sad day to say the least.

I found that with the heat wave things does not work that well. The milk turns way to fast out of the fridge.
