  2. Just have to get back to the office. Can feel the morning commute took a bit out of me. I crave salt at the moment ( I was stuck only being able to use the top 3 gears on the rear of my bike and had to make due with the front gears )

  7. It is not easy if she does most of the cooking. But with the shopping this weekend I made sure to buy most LCFH foods and 0 HCLF foods.
  8. My wife has dropped us out of the LCHF (banting) way after we got married. It first started with a little slipup at Burger King. Then it just escalade. It is so bad at the moment that Coke is the first drink I get at night. And she fell back into bread, buns and HFCS containing products. So yes the sugar addiction is strong in her. And I found my kryptonite: Jellybeans and JellyTots. This morning I was up at 05H00 doing some prep work for a nice soup for tonight. Butternut Soup, with loads of Butter and will finish it off with a dash of cream. So will have to talk to her. Problem with me and bread products... Weight Gain. And that is a huge no no on the bike for me. And worst is I am pulling a hefty 87.1 kg at the moment. And that is not where I want to be. I am not sleeping well and feeling sick 90% of the time. So holding thumbs that she will again see that LCHF works. And the HCLF thing is a load of horse doo doo....
  9. Have a serious problem with the black commuters who do not stop at red traffic lights. I stop at them, but either they are to good or to stupid. And had a person that almost took me out last night. Just decided to close the gap leading to the sidewalk ramp. Very apologetic after he hit me. But just glad I saw the idiot starting to move into the path I was heading for. You know that old toppie. He checks you in the mirror, closes the gap and then gets a hard-on.
  10. GoT S05E01 was so dull. Watched it but lost interest in the episode after a while. Only thing I remember... Two really angry dragons, and one chick scared of the two dragons. Of and "shitting out of a hole"
  11. A truck took my mom out like this once. Since then she is on a MTB. Truck drivers do not know the length of the trucks they are in. And neither does most people (even in their cars)

  22. Been stable in my weight the past two weeks. Not sleeping well at all. Not getting on the bike at all. Craving carbs and chocolate big time. Forgot most of my food at home today. And dog tired. Having trouble staying awake. But will have to push on and see if I can stay awake. (think I am doing the grave yard schedule again)
  23. Got that chilled feeling yesterday morning. Fudge it was cold. But I had to use the motorbike. Will do the commute thing from next week on. At least I can walk again.
  24. Just had a kid that decided that I would not stop at a traffic circle. And oh was he wrong. I am not going to try to jump ahead of a Land Rover Discovery. Those things are farking hard... In his words, it was a light bump. Light enough to blow all the lights on the bike. Move the rear wheel by 4 mm slacking the chain all the way So spent the last hour and half at the SAPS. So be careful guys.
  25. Going to sound nasty, but I hope that pedestrian can't walk for the next week. The bloody things are starting to become a real problem. Think it is time to ride with pepper spray again.
