  1. Taken near Hazeldean 1 Dec 2016 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Hope the bloke is a hubber... A commuter on a road bike that cycled direction north on Solomon Mahlangu this morning at 06h05. You utter twat! In 100 meters you almost committed suicide. And not once, but 3 times! What took place was the bloke turned out of Bendeman Road right, but lets think... if you turn right, where do you stand? Left of the cars or on the right? Lets look at it this way, you are on the right hand side of the road. You are an idiot with road pedals, and you have no idea how to clip in and get away from the cars. So what did you do... move into the path of a car, but wait, the car is next to you, so you swerve out of the way... only to realize that you were on the edge of the road, where still trying to clip in, you swerve into the lane again, and almost got taken out by an BMW. And the cycle started again. Just be glad that my wife was in the car, or I would have given you a bit of my mind! Think what you are doing! You pissed off more than 3 people in less tan 100 meters! What great picture do you paint for people in their cars? That cyclists are IDIOTS! Wake up you darn fool, you are a blood stain on the road waiting to happen! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Cool. Thanks. The east. Work near the CSIR, and the Hetfield Campus of UP and stay out near Hazeldean.
  4. Got it 2nd hand and only downloaded the manual this morning. But will see if it works.
  5. Did that, but seems that I screwed it up somewhere... Unit does not flash a red light when passing a magnet. Will try when I am back at the office and see if I can fix it.
  6. Did anyone have luck in replacing the batteries yet? I got a polar from a member last week, but the sensors are dead. Decided to order the batteries from RS, crack open the units, but no luck at all. No light. Nada bugger all. Polar just seems to shove a big middle finger up you ass if you buy their products. I have a 725X with a speed sensor that needs to be less than 10 cm from the watch to work. And now this... Should have gotten the Garmin unit instead.
  7. My Brother gave me a watch this weekend. He gave it to my dad, but my dad will look a gift horse in the mouth. (Complained that it was to big) so he gave me the watch. A far move from the Polar and the other "kids" watches that I have. I have no idea on the model of the watch or the value. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  8. My brother gave me the keys to his KTM 1190 ADVENTURE R (2016) to make sure that I know how to start the bike, and to get along with it. Seeing that he is away from SA for about 5 months, then back fro 7 weeks, so the bike must be ridden once or twice. And I must say this is a beast compared to my old F650GS (2006). Just the speed alone can make you feel a lot of respect fro that throttle. Just a little twist of the wrist and you whizz past 100km/h. And that was not hard riding at all. At a stage I realized that I was way overspeed to make a 90 degree turn, that said the BMW I had would overshoot and kill you, but the KTM took it in its stride. The traction control and ABS made me feel like a super hero, with the ability of Mr Knight and the skill set of Mr Cox. Still miss the GS, but one day that I am older I will get myself a KTM
  9. Like this one.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. We started watching E06, but I fell asleep. Had a real tough day at the office. So will have to wait till this weekend.
  11. And just this morning I told me wife that we still need to watch this... and episode 6 as well... Missed out big time...
  12. Started watching it, and fell asleep. So it did not keep my attention for long... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  13. You know I drive past that shop every day, and never have I thought of getting coffee there...Will swing by and check what they have on offer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Where can I get good quality coffee in Pretoria. Tried a few places, but I am sick of getting stale beans. Why would you call yourself a coffee roaster, roast beans and store them in a open crate? By he time you get the beans, there are no flavor and no Co2 left in the beans Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Watched the 2nd episode of Planet Earth II last night. They have a cunning trick... First they have a agh shame moment (the baby Ibex and the fox) then the funny moment (bears and trees) and then the amazing (Snow Leopard) and lets nog forget the epic eagle battle. And best is... Wife is busy on Facebook more interested in her friends and other poo... Woman!
  16. That I know now. I posted before I tasted...
  17. Have to agree, but take it that we are getting a R/€ or R/$ problem here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Just walked in here. My nose was attacked by the smell of poo and urine mixed with some other thing I don't want to know...So glad I did not bring coffee with. But the Prof I am at gave me a cup of Starbucks coffee. So I am sorted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. I have a problem... Leave my Aeropress at the office and buy a good cup of coffee at Onderstepoort,... What to do, what to do...
  20. Would be great to give this to my mom... she has two worn pads in her spine, so the hard tail hurts her a lot. Every bump she hits causes a huge amount of pain and discomfort in such a way that she no longer rides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. The day you can't remember when you had your last fag, is one of the best days ever... Me and my wife spoke about it, and there are two groups of people that want to stop. Those who say they want to stop, and those who do stop and will never start smoking again. And I was in both of those groups, but the latter group is the best group to be in.
  22. Placed the season 1 order this morning for blu ray disks. Waiting for Season 2 to get to the market... think I should ask my brother to get the blurays for me when he is in the US next month Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Agree with Beesrib. Aeropress to the rescue at our office as well. Hate the Coffee here. Even when fresh. it is a foal mix of chemicals that would strip paint from metal... Need to find a place in Pretoria with fresh beans. People selling "fresh" roasts in PTA does not know what that means. Things standing in a big open crate after being roasted does not mean fresh...
  24. The old one just feels better. It has a subtle blue cast to the plastic and the seal, well it just seals better. So I am not sure if the seal is to goo and you have to push more, but the coffee puck in the old one comes out dry, where in the new one, it is wet. Same amount of coffee, same ground and same volume of water used. Or maybe it is just that I like older things more, but still IMHO it feels better than Gen 2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. Got the older version of the Aeropress from Scuzzy today (thanks again Scuzzy) and the question I must ask is why did they change the design? Version 1 worked great! Better than the new version. But still love my aeropress. Quick easy and no fuss coffee! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
