  1. Napalm: did u confuse the cycling forum with the other one again www.soberrecovery.com/forums? E1A104, Thanks will get.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> mrmed only 1 word for you EEEEUUUGH, probably works but ???..nee dankie
  2. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I have to do the dreaded/boring LSD thing this weekend and next for 5+ hours. Any ideas on what I should be eating. I use Cytomax and Cytomax Gel, but need solids. Used to eat Xmas Cake but cannot find anywhere.
  3. Agree with you Homer, then at least I can get up and think what I did wrong.....very much like a self help book. Now at least I will know why I've fallen.
  4. Thanks Renier and DB, just had a look at Alibris.com an online second hand book store. Books are 1 Euro but then 18eURO for shipping. Can never win and then of course the Import tax even if it is second hand SARS dont care!
  5. Thanks Titus, looks like you are the only MTBer that can read
  6. Hi can anyone recommend a book on MTBing specifically the techniques and technical stuff. Not too interested in the history and glossy pictures of scenic rides-just the how to stuff.
  7. Hi JM, Hope A gets better quicky, she seemed in good spirits when we contacted her after you phoned us. She is a TAAI Tannie/Ouma.
  8. HR, they pay per injury, so for the whiplash I get R.... and for the hip I get R....., etc etc. Nothing for my bike. It is pretty much how banged up you are, is how much they give. I will only hear in August but the talk is R30K for the whiplash only and the rest we will see. At least I was lucky after reading about another fatality I guess the fact that I am stil alive makes the $$ seem insignificant. Based on Delgado's advice I have spoken to the Lawyer and he now seems more keen to pursue a civil claim.
  9. Thanks, Delgado and Kona for the advice, will get in touch with the lawyer handling my third party and civil claim, as he was battling with them before the guy was found guilty and I gave up with that.
  10. With us as cyclist vs cars, we always end up at the shortest end but sometimes we get some justice. Last year in March a Fidelity Guards vehicle knocked me over and drove off. But it being Krugersdorp he was quickly stopped by some action men. My injuries were bumps, bruises, whiplash and R21k on the bike etc.The cops were their usual self in handling the case and I started putting pressure on them, ended up with a pitbull of a sergeant handling the case and after 14 months the driver was found guilty and got 6 Months or R3k fine. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> So sometimes we win even if it s just a little.
  11. Racman, HR Average like all averages are made up of two extreme points and is not effective for gauging fitness. My suggestion is find out what youre zones are. Then get a programme that adresses weight loss and speed, but I would suggest a more complete programme. The real guru's should be able to give you more specific advice thats just my take on it.
  12. Marius, Ek wonder of ek vir Faankie nog moet PM-bietjie skrikkering nou
  13. Clear jou mailbox asb!
  14. I had 560's as training wheels and they flexed like pancakes. I weigh 74kgs. In fairness when I contacted them they sorted the problem out within days.
  15. You must like Chinese puzzles then
  16. Followed Zaskar's Link and found a whole bunch, looking much better than 4 pages that came up now 2863 photos-Much Better
  17. Very Confusing and look at the instructions on the website: Kremetart cycle race 20076/20/2007 Pics of the legendary Kremetart Cycle race for 2007 are now available. To find your face in the crowd, try searching the following keywords: - The riders' race number - The riders' club, sponsor or riding shirt - Failing the above, search for bicycle manufacturer, bicycle colour, or if nothing else was recognisable, simply search colour. - Typing the word 'bunch' will return images of multiple riders in a shot. - And take note, the pics by Andries van Zyl of the local newspaper, Zoutpansberger, are labelled 'action' and 'newspaper'. If you did the race try and search and see what happens. I tried all the permutations and always the same pics. It's a mess-but of you read the instructions above you can see why.
  18. I regularly ride in the Mudlersdrift area and have never had a problem, motorist seem to be more considerate. ChrisH: Well done on spotting the pic, the newspaper should be taken to task about incititing readers and publisihng pictures which readers might assume be local.
  19. I have the same problem, socks, tightening/lossening straps, praying don't work. Thought I had it solved a while back but now its back. Anyone know a podiatrist with any knowledge about cycling, not the type that fixes flat feet and corns.
  20. All the stuff I like gets discontinued so my energy/manifestation must be pretty f#cked up. Who can remember STAR Bars and that Pronutro Sports, thats when it all started, I was still young and then they Discontinued it. I started believing in conspiracy theories. Oh yeah nad do you laso think the Jungle Bars are getting smaller?
  21. I ride with Pearl Izumi and no problem, very comfortable even switched from bibs to normal shorts.
  22. Oh Yeah I want to clarify something, I do not have a beef with the organisers and will be back next year. My problem is with CC, if there was a stuff up admit it, and do not post results that are inaccurate and then be burocratic about concerns raised.
  23. Cannot agree with you more, have a look at some of the top finishers credentials and then you wonder, one of the top 5 did a 3h33 for Bakwena. Oh yes I am still waiting for a reply from Chamionchip, maybe they are still formulating a civil response.
  24. Pantani, I get you and that would be right for Nola, but just have a look at the Kremetart 100km race there was no Pro Team.
  25. Dear Colin, I maintain that I have the right to start in any batch lower than what I am seeded in, this is in any race rules. Once again Championchip is not to blame as always. I have mailed info at Championchip and have been told it has been reffered. I eagerly await your/their/whoevers response. Have a nice day. There, is that civil enough?
