  2. Ja nice to meet you guys, just get so peeved off with the bunch for coasting over the traffice lights sometimes. Thats why after the BP just thought I get a head start but took you guys long enough to catch up. Going for a easy ride with a mate that just started out riding. Speak to you soon.

  4. CWC online has the new 2011 super record if you want, think its 16K
  5. 3000km for a shimano chain and 5000km for a campy chain, then replace. Your cassette will last much longer that way. I've done over 20000km on one cassette over the past 1 1/2 years and no worries jumping at any stage
  6. And why is the ghost riding a merida
  7. Clint noticed that you are in Stellies, if you dont come right I have only heard good things about Hein at Kroffe Fietse in Paarl. He has a guy that can fix anything and I mean anything. Not even the agents of some of the brands could fix shocks like he does. What I meant was that there was a shock that was un repairable and they fixed it.
  8. Howzittttt, I would think it should arrive during the week sometime, had to get it from JHB cause the agents down here had no stock in my size. Have to wait for the shoes anyway. But if the bike arrives before the shoes will just put the look pedals on for a couple of days and ride with my road shoes. But hope its here by Friday.
  9. Just in time for summer, its watermelon season. Put it in the fridge and spit the pips out.
  10. After reading something like this motivates me even more to start riding MTB, I have been a roadie my whole life and always said no way will you see me on a MTB but I have ordered my first MTB on friday and cannot wait to take it to the bush. I stay a stone throw away from majik forest so hopefully I get to enjoy all the great routes and meet lots of new faces.
  11. Just one that works when you need it.
  12. You mad to do that on a MTB, good luck when you do enter the venture. That does sound like something I would attempt and then phone a friend.
  13. Well we will soon find out for a bike that retails for R12k lets hope so. otherwise lets just get a new fork in a few weeks time.
  14. Thanks to all for the help, went with my gut feel and got the Cannondale SL2 trail Its more than what I need it for just to mess around with.

  17. Ja rode bike is a caad9 63cm but used to ride 66cm caad5. Can get away with a mtb in a 58-60cm
  18. Inseam is almost the length of a small person. 1.04cm
  19. SORRY CRACK, I was looking at the Santa Cruz Super light not the tallboy, looks like the tallboy could work but wanted a hardtail. Beggers cant be chosers i suppose.
  20. Crack, you cracked up with curry. Checked it out on the web. Also to small. thanks for the help though
  21. Thanks covie but you just like giving bad news, once again check the XL size 54cm thats smaller than the ones I looked at today. Not going to work.
  22. Well after alot of input from some fellow hubbers and thanks to google I have decided to go big or go home or thats what I thought. Going to look for a 29er in my size. Well 29er's are bigger so should not be a problem. So how about that a XL 29er's frame size is only 52-54cm. Now with a saddle height of +- 92 how am I going to find a long enough seatpost. Well lets wait for the 2011 range to hit the floors and then hopefully I can find something. Not even PlanetX has a big enough frame for me.
  23. Will be joining you guys shortly just have to decide what mountain bike to buy. The problem lies in the size and quality. Hope to see you in the next few weeks.
