  1. You play around with the cassette and chainblade sizes. so you can check the ratio of your 53/12 compared to the 50/11 or 39/25 compared to a 34/23. The calculater proved to me that I woul be better off with a compact crank than a std crank to get the correct ratio. a 50/11 is a bigger gear than a 53/12 and a 34/23 is a lighter gear than a 39/25. get it now
  2. Thanks Velo, love playing around on these
  3. Just do more hours in the saddle on a harder seat and you wont need any cream.
  4. Feel your pain, 30min on turbo trainer. Went no where.

  8. Well my shoulder been giving me hassles for a while now so I make sure I go through the correct channels for my Medical aid to make sure everything gets approved. I know that I am going to have to go for a op in the end anyway. So I go to the GP who sends me for x-rays and a sonar, then o back to the GP so he can send me to a specialist. Go to the specialist with the x-rays and sonar, He then takes another sonar and says OK you must go for a MRI scan. So I went today for the MRI scan, firstly I am not the smallest of okes and that was the worst experience that I have ever had 55mins in that machine. So then off to the Specialist afterwards just for him to say. Well we going to have to operate. How's next Tuesday for you. So going in on Tuesday for my shoulder op. 3 weeks in a sling and who know's how long off the bike. Already got a slick for the MTB for the turbo trainer. So if you ever need to go for a MRI scan be prepared not such a great thing. But I person's got to do what you got to do. J
  9. I agree I was 166kg's when I started and walked for 3weeks before I even thought about buying a bike. Also let him go and see some one to point him in the right direction with food groups. And lastly be a friend and commit to helping him in everyway possible
  10. Sit in the car with the heater on before you go out training, good warmup.
  11. I have mixed bottles before and left it for three days in the deep freeze and it tasted a bit funny when defrosted. I think a day or two is the max a person can leave those bottles in the fridge. There is a guy on the hub that sells the stuff maybe he can let us know.
  12. Made a HUGE difference on the hills and the handling on the single track was far better.
  13. Well after riding 700km on my std wheels with tyreliners and slime and not one putcture, went out yesterday and got tubeless wheels and tyres. Had two flats today and had to use two bombs. But my bike is 1kg lighter so I will accept the pucture.(s)
  14. 5 strippers for the weekend that would do it, Might have some change for a secons hand bike then jokes aside, Only bike I have ever ridden has been cannondale, had plenty in my life time even just bought a mtb cannondale so that would be my choice.
  15. Well if you have only heard good things about the bike shop then I am sure that it is CWC online I also know that there is a new guy that started recently there so there might be the problem. If its not them then sorry for saying so. But if it is them just pick up the phone tomorrow and speak to JNR himself and if his not there ask for Christoff. Good luck
  16. Have you tried riding with ear plugs, that will take every creak away.
  17. You can just patch the tube rather much less hassle than replacing the whole tube, there are not many okes around that can do it. Its quite a art. Where you situated. Sure some one could help you on the hub.

  20. That Ritchey seatpost is more layback than you can get. Truse me I 've checked the angels. A layback thomson is not actually layback cause the clamp is at the top of the post and not to the side.
  21. PIc on the couch would help with the sale
