  1. Great thanks. I?ve send a email. Hope I can find happiness here. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  2. I am also looking for a MTB route in the area; as far as I know there aren?t any out there. Perhaps someone can help? I am trekking every other weekend to Northern Farms, a good 45km away. For a quick ride in my area - anybody ???
  3. Thank you Trubie, I am now aiming for the top 10. SO why don?t you join my on the 9th of August it?s a great training venue?
  4. No no, congrats to you ? respect dude. Well done. Wish I was riding with you just for the sake of the hot lady??<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  5. I am waiting for those who will start giving you Sh!t. I started a thread like this before and I gave up, I no longer complain about people going the wrong way up a single track, because it does not help! People who are guilty of going up the wrong way justify that its ok, fun and all manner of excuses. So I suggest give it up ? you will not win this one. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  6. Hello. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Sorry I missed you ? how was your race? Yea it was a great race, ended up 13th and shaved off 6 min off my best time. The setup was great, there were fundamental problems with my setup and Tony sorted it out quick-quick. My back still gives problems so I think the next stop is a chiropractor. I really want to start doing the 70km?s. I am getting used to Babba?s which is great, I know where to hold back and where to give it a good go. I am doing the race on the 9th but still the 35km till my back?s sorted out.
  7. Just want to give a shout out to Tony Impey in Bedford Centre. Helped me fine tune my setup and because of that I could feel a definite difference in my race yesterday. He was very helpful. So Thanks. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  8. Thanks for the advice, I am going to Tony Impey tomorrow for my setup, can?t wait. And what you said about better performance?.well then I am looking forward to the podium finishes from now on. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  9. Don't know precicely, but a relative high cadence I assume. I never attempt to go uphill wit a low cadence.
  10. I need some training time so I do a race every second week, I did the Walkerville race last week and finished 18th ? that was a cool race too. I will hopefully see you then? I am the only one with a Giant Anthem X1 there so you can?t miss me. Yea I will do the 35km again, but not for long.... if I can sort out my setup and back ache then I am going for the big ones. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  11. I will be there on Sunday yes. Its just on long rides ? yesterday done a 70km ride and its just becoming a pain so hope its just a setup issue ? I will see. So I will see you there? I will call your name out loud and hope you respond. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  12. I very quickly made the distinction between falling down (anytime during a ride) and falling over (with cleats) when you can not unclip fast enough. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  13. I am experiencing this pain only when I am cycling; I go to gym 5 times a week and am otherwise quite active and have NO pain. So I think it?s the setup, will do the setup with experts and then see what they recommend. Thank you. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  14. My Coccyx hurts like crazy ? the muscles at the base of my spine actually- if I cycle for long distances, especially if I have to put in some effort to go uphill. If I stop for a minute or two then the pain goes away, but after a while it starts again. When I finish riding I have no pain whatsoever. Is there someone that might shed some light on this problem please? I was thinking that this might be the setup of my bike that causes the problem. Help <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  15. As promissed. The new Cannondale Flash http://www.singletrackworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/flash1-600x450.jpg http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/first-look-cannondales-1656lb-flash-carbon-hardtail-22233 http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2009/07/01/1246461726681-i4gq8bs4hg0n-798-75.jpg Hello BABY!!!!!!
  16. I entered online and received nothing!! Except for the energy bar and mag. As for the timing system its very primitive for the level of race we participated in. Even a ?small? race at Babbas lodge SS Timing is there. So I can not see why in this day and age we have to rely on a tannie with a stopwatch for timing. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  17. Well thats another story all together
  18. Maybe I am missing something here ? are modern mountain bikes these days like a F1 racing car? The slightest bump in the road and its tuned out? The slightest bit of mud and you screw up your entire bike and it cost R2000 to fix?? <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I have been a mountain biker for the past 15 years and rode with only 3 bikes the entire time ? I?ve been trough mud, hail, storms, rivers, rocks, sand and all manner of natural disasters that can be thrown my way, and NEVER have I ever had to worry about my bicycles breaking or obtaining any major damage ? my philosophy has always been ?it?s a mountain bike ? a though piece of machinery that?s build for these sort of things? Reading your comments; it worries me that I might just wreck my brand new 30K bike! I still go out there with the same philosophy ? I cycle as hard and as fast as I can, I still go trough water, sand, mud, rain, hail etc?.. Does it mean that I have to ride more carefully not to damage my MTB?
  19. Like a secret society with a secret wave and handshake and stuffffff just to make us special ? haha and then one day we take over the world when the oil industry collapse and we can still cycle wherever we have to?.
  20. He was swatting a fly or miggie or something!!!!! Was not really waving
