That i can understand a criterium is over a shorter circuit, when i ride the Nothgate Dome i remove pump and saddle bag. For elite riders in a road race most have team cars to assist, i dont have that luxury my cycle pockets have gels, bananas, sweets phone, ID card, etc and i dont have place for tubes, bombs and small tool kit

A move towards weight based seeding, it's not fair i have to start with sub 75kg skinny's and try stick with them on climbs.

Should not affect your seeding, they take the best 3 race times as ave.

Guess they messed up with me then, last Racetec/WT race result was D2D 2009 and i got seeded for 94.7 If you only have one result for the previous 12 months and it is of a non equivalent weighting you will receive a total of greater than 100 and will then fall into the unseeded category. The event seeds on events of no more than 12 months old. No events older than 12 months will be considered

And thats a parachute in his back pack. When i started cycling i hated a helmet and used to train with a peak cap and only wear the helmet for races but got used to wearing one everytime i cycled and have had 3 occasions to be thankful i did.

Car jacked 2 years ago, i have a tandum garage and was swopping my car for my bakkie and had just reversed the car onto the road when out of nowhere i hear a gun cock and voice telling me to lie down, one guy kept the gun pointed while the other searched me, took keys and wallet then started the car, the guy with the gun then jumped in and off they went. I was not too fussed with it as the car was 13 years old and the insurance paid out more than what i would have got on trade in for another, only schlep was they also had my bakkie keys so i had to have the ingition, doors and gearlock changed as well.

Start times were sent out via email, if you have not received it yet it could be they have none or the incorrect email.

Human nature i suppose, something must be done but let someone else do it. Generally everyone jumps on soap box and shouts about bad drivers, roads etc and something must be done but when asked to contribute to-wards something like ShaunH Sign Up initiative they mysteriously disappear. Same for collecting for charity causes, good idea but let someone else do it.

I was J last year, L (7.24 start) this year but i'm happy enough with that.
