  1. BTT if you get good quality liners and slime tubes you should have no problems. My liners look like they have been wrapped around a porcupine but the only stopping i do during a ride is to help others fix their punctures.
  2. Odd heads will say "who the hell care's" but i'm certain there will be a record interest, hell i might go down early and endure a few extra days in CT to watch.
  3. They just installed my new desktop
  4. Wave your bottle around when taking a drink.
  5. Silmilar experience from George at Mean Machine who despite not knowing me offered me a set of loan wheels to race the next day while he rebuilt mine.
  6. I would never do that cause I am scared it will get mangled by the spokes and that would certainly hurt!!!!!!!!! Competition for John Holmes.
  7. Ah thanks
  8. Perhaps they are showing other riders whats in their bottles or offering others riders a sip. I usually say "no thanks i got my own" and get quite a few weird looks.
  9. This is becoming a popcorn/Springmiellies thread
  10. Believe there's gonna be a MTB category this year.
  11. I see Bell Triton have a 65, any larger and you'll need a "mosdop" Technologies: Fusion In-Mold Microshell; ErgoDial Fit System; Snap-In Visor; Cam-lock Levers Specs: Weight: 289 grams; Vents: 17 Sizes: Universal Large: 58-65cm Certification: CE EN1078
  12. Giro have helmets up to 63cm.
  13. Still very good value, last year there were various potjies and i had helpings from each one
  14. Thought this was a thread complaining about eskom.
  15. they should give you a number for each discipline you do. You pay for it anyway. Cyclosport covers all diciplines.
  16. Best of two picks, i work close to JHB Cylcelab and live close to sweat & gears and TDF.
  17. Dont think its quite the same thing S2L, goodie bags are sponsored and the 94.7 had full road closure. I'd rather pay a bit more and have a safer ride with road closure than pay a bit less and get a goodie bag. scotty2009-01-27 02:58:56
  18. Will be there again.
  19. Think its being made a bigger issue than it really is, anyhow it adds a good mix for competition and spectator interest in future. scotty2009-01-27 00:37:57
  20. Rode Suikerbos yesterday, mostly MTB'ers which could explain why i saw no cyclists misbehaving. Not cool again was the amount of glass and i picked up an empty glass bottle on the road which some twit had discarded. I also see that one of the picnic spots was closed as it had been vandilised.
  21. Hope there were not too many serious incidents. Not in a hurry to ride this race unless there is road closure, after witnessing 4 crashes last year, 1 particularly nasty one as we were entering V town where a rider on the right riding well over the white line hit the side mirror of a car approaching from the front and bouncing back into the bunch bring down about 10 riders.
  22. Just about finished in Randburg
