  1. How do they enforce it, with vehicular you must have a drivers license, your car/motorbike also has a traceable number. Whats to prevent you stating your name is Piet Pompies and you live at xyz address. Also on the ticket what do you write ? White Pinarello ? He can always flip the bike over and look at the s/n but what if its is a fake and does not have one.

Enjoyable day on the bike, few bottleneck's on route but every rider i saw waited patiently for their turn and no pushing in.
  3. No need to be rude but yes, if you don't do online entry then expect to be slotted at the back. Having been involved at registration i can tell you some riders doing late entry can be quite pushy so perhaps this person had a few bad incidents before. The organizers need to do this to keep the bunches in size, if there is a large rush for late entries and they all claim to be A bunch type insisting to be placed A what must the orgs do with those who have entered and have already been seeded A.
  4. You can get the Scalera for R27000.00
  5. On tubeless now but I used to use the Specialized airlock tubes and found they worked well.

Yup, stickers for MTB if you have your own board if not they will issue a temporary board as well , envelopes were for road race.
  7. Lessons to be learned from reading whole thread, you will know the differences between grey and fake, ethical business practice and lying and getting caught in the act on camera.
  8. Edit, read it again.

  11. My home town, would like to pay him a visit.
  12. Titus, the name I gave the little stray i found on my property in Feb has come on in leaps and bounds, from a frightened shy dog who hid away to a boisterous and nosey dog who has blended in well with my 2 others. Before and after
  13. The way i read it, AA never knew it was fake or grey until he was told by the bike shop in Australia, on querying it with CS he was told it was grey however he knew it was not, in the interview he stated although sounding miffed at it being grey he would not have asked for his money back but being fake he wanted it.
  14. The CB reporter has a medical condition, she's allergic to hearing BS.
  15. Appears the perception that this is widespread after the CB show has had quite an impact, yesterday a colleague who bought expensive MTB bikes a while back (hardly ridden though, more money than sense) from a totally different shop asked me if his bikes are legit.

VA you would need to show your lic number to pick up your number.
  17. Ta, now my coffee's all over my keyboard.
  18. Good meeting you as well, where did you disappear to, I was going to stick you to a beer
  19. To be clear, the invoice stated R91000, the invoice is not disputed by CS so do you really believe someone would willingly and knowingly pay that amount of money for fake bike, wheels and bars.
  20. Not sure if its been brought up before but why do the bike manufacturers not have a website where you can go register your bike using the s/n. Surely then you will know immediately if your bike is fake or not.
