  1. Dunno, what would you say about someone who has 3 MTB's and last did a road race 2 months back.
  2. Go Theresa , not shabby for someone who has a full time day job.
  3. In no particular order, slower riders in front, faster yelling for track behind, sandy bits, twisty bits, rut's, climbs, descents, mud, corrugated road, but my ultimate no no is if there's no beer at the end.
  4. Its ok but lets see how he does with one of these

    MTB Clubs

When i first started MTB i used to belong to these guys. http://www.jmbc.org.za/
  6. If rolling through red lights is official cyclelab policy they need to speak to the Boksburg bunch, i did a ride with them last Saturday and we stopped at every red light.
  7. That's Santa Clause
  8. Cyclelab currently have a sale on, not sure if helmets are included.
  9. Meet BigH in person and you'll be surprised, while he might appear so he is not really grumpy and opinionated as some of his posts appear to be. Regards GoG i would like to have read his opinions on threads such as the OP one.
  10. I looked for the obvious, did anyone have a saddlebag.
  11. Its a MTB group, part of the route is on the Emperors course so more XC and lapped, do as much or little as you want, ride is +/- 2 hours.
  12. Sat morning 6.30am in front of the shop, all welcome.
  13. This was my favorite cap, my bad on leaving it lying around
  14. Yup, with sites such as You Tube on the interwebs and that Blue Park Tool book everything is covered.
  15. Johann Bornman from Yellow Saddle used to do courses, not sure if he still does.
  16. Never thought that if you do road riding on the road with a MTB you need to go tubeless, will make a plan this weekend
  17. Very decent lady actually.
  18. Eish would not have started thread if i knew it was going to be dragged out. She did not complain about not been helped , when I asked her about the ride and she told me about it it was i who was surprised no one assisted (after initially telling her how friendly and helpful cyclists are, my bad) She had all the right tool's and spares so no need to have been out of pocket, this post was about offering to help, not a free handout. But typical HUB it gets turned into mush.
  19. Lol, even tubeless you can pick up problems as i experienced the weekend, but that's a different story
  20. Ah Slowpoke you a good lady, and more than capable when it comes to self help. And a stickler for obeying road rules
  21. If you do go flat out don't forget to strava .
  22. Also when taking and replacing a drink, don't show everyone in the group by waving the bottle around. I always chirp, no thanks I have my own.
  23. Think quite a few of the "men" posting here would have had a problem removing the tire, it was a tight fit plus some slime from the tube had escaped and formed a seal so better they did not stop to assist as they likely would have embarrassed themselves, Fitted with easier to remove tires now. All's good, done and dusted, would have preferred a rave but rant over.
