  1. Dude, if you are still riding the original Raleigh saddle that came with that bike I am 99.9% sure that is the problem. However as stated here bad quality bibs and even brand new bibs which have not been ridden in yet will cause this. A quick solution to the prob is when going downhill move to the back of the bunch freewheel and alternately remove your feet from the pedals, shake them around a bit to get the blood flowing and it should make your ride a little more comfy.
  2. Holy it is still an F"up. We already have a liquor license as well as a "special"liquor license but now have to purchase the "new" one as well because we will be broadcasting some of our games in the garden area which constitutes a "fanpark". Essentially before the world cup we needed two licenses to cover the property now suddenly we need 3. We are not even sure if these licenses apply to 1 for the entire property or 1 per fanpark - food for thought.
  3. It is on the Corner of North Rand Road and Atlas Road
  4. Hey all, look out for us tomorrow at TOUR DE FRANS CYCLES. Not only will you be able to get your number but you will also be able to get yourself some STINGER CREAM at a bit of a discount. We look forward to seeing you throughout the course of the day.
  5. Hardest races out there are Panorama Tour The Jock The Vasbyt Race for Victory Then the rest
  6. Just for all your info. MTN pulled out as a sponsor of this race at the last minute. You may not know what this means to the organizers but one of those things is an unpainted medal the quickly had to be revamped and the MTN brnading replaced with the white ribbon. So a nice big thumbs down to them. Emperors Palace from my understanding was only a partial sponsor and that literally was just the venue and a few other smaller things. Wynand and his team did a remarkable job of getting this race together with little or no co-operation from anyone and minimal sponsorship. Lee worked tireless hours to get the MTB course in a ridable condition. They were still busy prepping that course for you guys at 5am on the morning of the race and fixing potholes at 10pm on Saturday night for Sundays road race. It disappoints me to see how fickle you are and especially when the facts are not known. My dad always used to say to me if you can't say something nice don't say something at all. If your biggest concern is a goodie bag rather than the enjoyment of the sport them I am afraid you should rather attend the Farmers Weekly convention. I hear you get a nice little potato sack full of stuff. I think an apology is owed to Wynand and Lee by all of you who have had nothing good to say. These guys really did put on a great show.
  7. A word of thanks to all the hubbers and non hubbers who popped in on our stand over the 2 days of race registration for the Emperors Classic. It was great chatting to you guys and meeting you. For those of you who cannot find our product in a store near you please accept my apologies, we are working hard at it and hope to increase our distribution channels further within the next few weeks. Please make use of http://www.sportbru.co.za for online purchases. These guys are really good and will deliver to your doorstep. Once again thanks for all your support!!
  8. Surprised there is not a 46 on it??
  9. Also showed 105Km's. At least you guys have a time mine seems to have gone places never to be found again. This means e-mails back and forth to Recetec and may the mission begin.
  10. I remember this guy very well. He was at the Stinger Stand asking me for advice on cramping. Very nice guy and was most appreciative of everything we told him. The Racetec guys should remember who he was as after he left us he went to them to get himself a timing chip.
  11. What The Break said, summed it up perfectly. Also a stiff upper body can cause you to "wobble" the key its to just relax and let the bike follow its natural course.
  12. Remember to come say Hi to us today and tomorrow when you come to pick up your number for the Emperors Classic. We have also placed some special Stinger Stickers in selected "Goodie" Bags which will entitle you to a spot prize.

    BIBS

Etxeondo - best bibs I have ever had and they don't rape the pocket either.
  16. Ja and we could argue that we spent millions on Zumas inauguration which could have been used elsewhere - common get real. If these events were such a great loss to the economy then why do countries bid for them - because they have nothing better to do? Do you tender for a contract which is going to be a loss to your company? Szymanski?? Is this guy even South African? Sounds to me like this is all a little marketing hype so he can sell a few books!!
  17. A few things. From someone in the hospitality industry. 1) Ticket sales were always expected to be low because of the location of South Africa. Getting here is not as easy as getting to Germany - pretty obvious! 2) It is not the hotels ripping the ring out of it but more the Travel Agents - there is a difference and most hotels have contracted their rooms to STO's based in countries which have qualified. ie. The Germans are getting their rates from one of their Local Travel agents and not a hotel based in South Africa. 3) The roads and Guatrain were never meant to be complete for the World Cup - things will be cleaned up and construction stopped for the period of the World Cup, the due date for completion was always 2011. 4) Anyone travelling to a world cup who does not expect prices to be inflated is delusional - the 3000% increase mentioned here is just as delusional. 5) The busiest period and the period which generates the most revenue is the period 6 months AFTER the event and not the period during the event. 6) TV coverage received showcasing the Country and its resources cannot be quantified to an amount of revenue it generates but estimates put it in the billions. And that costs US NOTHING. The spin off of this event will far outweigh the expenditure - that's a no brainer I think it was Joe who said stop bitching and enjoy the event, even if you don't like soccer (like me). I might even go to a game.
  18. 33 Pages and still no closer to a solution. This concerns me in that there have been some pretty good suggestions made by some people within these 33 pages and not one of those suggestions has been run with and discussed in further detail. This just makes me wonder as to the commitment of "anyone" on both sides to actually find some common ground. Maybe it is just easier to sling the mud than to actually sit down and think of amicable solutions that would suit both parties, I don't know. If I may make another suggestion and that would be for both parties to once again sift through these 33 pages, pick out the good ideas and "GET TOGETHER" on the 20th, discuss them further and work towards peace - set the animosity aside for 30 minutes and you may just surprise yourselves that there is more power in unity than in separation. Wars are created by 2 old men who cannot agree to compromise and it is you and I who are the ones who need to kill each other on the battle field because of this whilst they sit an eat cake!!
  19. Well based on the response to my question it seems Metro are not all that active. See herein lies the problem. People break the law and this applies to both cyclists and residents because there is no accountability. As much as people hate to admit it they need to be policed and they need to be reminded that there are rules which apply to all. Without an effective police force - well there is no control and this is a prime example of the results of ineffective policing. Without being cynical the cradle needs to get a resident with some clout. Maybe a foreign ambassador or a high level politician to take up residence. They need someone who is more than a mere tax paying resident of the country. Suddenly things will start to happen. Farm murders will decline, cyclists will keep left and residents will stop "buzzing". Police cars will emerge from the depths and the darkest alleys to patrol the streets of the cradle enforcing the law. Bottom line is my friends, neither you or I are important enough to have the state enforce the law for us, therefore we believe we need to take this task upon ourselves. Blame for this situation should not be passed onto the cyclist or the resident but rather onto a weak, unorganized government who only look out for their own!! My solution to your problems is to rather band together and as cyclists and residents lobby government to improve policing in the area. The control of criminal and illegal activity is a task for which the state is responsible and we pay good tax money to them to complete this task. Maybe if you all get together on this one and pass the responsibility over to the people who are actually responsible for law and order you may achieve a better result. Madness is defined as bashing your head against the wall numerous times and expecting a different result each time - try something new for a change!!
  20. How active is Metro in the area?
  21. If you do ever have an AK47 shoved up your ringpiece you can buy some Stinger Cream. It will certainly help to alleviate the pain. This applies to both cyclists and residents, we do not discriminate.
  22. Eat before you are hungry Drink before you are thirsty Oh and always wear a helmet
