  1. The chainrings on M960 cranks are NOT cross compatible with any other cranks!!! You can get non Shimano ones, Middleburn make some pretty nice ones, not sure who else. As for M760 XT as long as the BCD matches you're OK
  2. The Blackburn chargers are pretty unique, I used to work for the UK importer and I would suggest you buy the charger from CRC if they've got it! All of the electronics that run the Blackburn lights are in the battery so if you screw up on the charger you might as well buy a complete new setup as there is a good probability that you'll end up frying the battery!
  3. If your cassette is a CS7800, 6600, 5600 and you are not using one of the original SHIMANO 10spd hubs with aluminium freehub that has deeper splines then you have to use the spacer supplied! They went back to conventional splines with Ti freehub bodies shortly after introducing the alloy ones. Not sure if new Dura Ace and Ultegra are the same will followup on that!
  4. Easiest solution... Finishline Speed Clean, spray on and ...... finished
  5. Chuffed for Kevin & David, they deserved a lot better than a of the peg bike from China!
  6. Check out http://www.performancesports.co.za/stockists.php All listed for your convenience
  7. Not trying to be nasty, but it is about time that as South Africans we become more aware of what we are putting into our bodies! Yeah, we do mixed boxes but prefer you to buy from our retailers, unless you don't have one close to you
  8. Thanks for the answer! Worth pointing out that Aspartame is also an approved sweetener and after many years of research, most people are now aware of the side effects and acesulfame-k is not shaping up well either! Any answers yet on colourants and flavourants? Oh, are you aware that the combination of ascorbic acid and sodium benzoate leeds to the forming of benzene, a powerfull carcinogen which can also damage DNA material?
  9. Just read the last paragraph properly, could you please justify how USN is a key player in Europe? Having just come back from 6 years living in Europe I can say that I have never seen USN products there or heard anyone in the sports industry that I worked with there mention the brand.
  10. Yep, and people wonder why the suffer from headaches and stomach upsets after training/racing with most of the stuff that's out there!
  11. Would you care to disclose the names of flavourants and colourants that are used in most USN products? Just wondering as a vast number of commercially used flavourants and colourants are petroleum based i.e. not very good for you and many others are known to be carsonogenic. And as for acesulfame-K that is used in many of your products:Acesulfame K: What is the negative side? "The problems surrounding acesulfame K are based on the improper testing and lack of long-term studies. Acesulfame K does contain the carcinogen methylene chloride. Long-term exposure to methylene chloride can cause headaches, depression, nausea, mental confusion, liver effects, kidney effects, visual disturbances, and cancer in humans." Interested to hear your reply, as you said you work for USN and should have the info?
  12. Tell me about it! We are monitoring the littering issue and are considering opening the bars and cutting them in half to prevent the litter and wastage that we see on trails. However, alot of riders don't do it so we carry on! At least we can sleep a little easier soon knowing that the litterbugs out there won't impact nature too much when they throw Mule wrappers on the trail!
  13. Don't knock it till you've tried it, or are you scared you might like it
  14. Who said you can only eat them while you're riding
  15. Different strokes for different okes. I would suggest you try strudel. It is also good served slightly warm with vanilla ice cream
  16. Hi Chickenrun, Yep we ship them in from the UK, we could fly them in for about the same cost but as we are aware of all thins environmental we ship them in sacrificing at least 5 weeks shelflife. I should point out that we have looked at making them in SA but cannot get guaranteed supply of ingredients or get the quality standards that are required. As you seem to be aware of thins green I should point out that we are changing to a compostable and biodegradable wrapper for all our products!
  17. Hi rad006, just logged onto the hub for the first time in over a month and got your message. Check your inbox this afternoon
  18. Is the height of the stem clamp identical to your previous one? Did you tighten the topcap bolt?
  19. Hi Mountain Lion, the Anthem is an awesome bike, I ride one as well! I reckon it is definitely worth upgrading to an external BB crankset, the new SLX cranks are great value for money. As for the chainline, never had a problem with it and am running an external BB set up.
  20. Hi Brightred, I have a VHOLDR that is brand new and will do the trick it's up for sale in the classifieds section. PM me if you're interested
