  5. Looking forward to this one, same trail builders as w2w as well so should be AWESOME. WRT entry fee, if you look at the blurb part of entry fee goes towards annual maintenance of the trails, sure I read somewhere that it was approx R 500/entry. Not many other races put money into maintaining & developing new trails so happy to pay the little bit extra.
  6. If you're referring to the Supermax 130 that comes on the 2013 Trigger range, it is the new sealed version that has same service intervals as other forks. Have had a Trigger 29'r with it on now for 3 months and it is AMAZING!!! Buy the bike, you won't be sorry.
  7. You need to wash the inside of the lenses from time to time with a mild soap to strip off al the oil etc that build up from handling them and smearing spit all over them, same thing goes for cycling glasses. The reason for lenses fogging up is that at a microscopic level the ridges and valleys that form from wiping lenses clean of sweat etc capture moisture and hence lenses "Fog Up" washing them with soap periodically will help minimise fogging. The above is also why fogging occurs more and more as lenses age, as you clean the lenses over and over they also develop more and more microscopic scratches that capture moisture. Hope that makes sense.
  8. You can only earn 1 brownie point a t a time, ever. The same does not apply for losing them though.....
  9. Have a look at the Giro Trans, Easton EC70 Carbon sole. Price is about R 2600.
  10. Stock of the Sigma Bluetooth Smart HRM Strap has just landed!! Ask your LBS to order from Omnico RRP is R 995.
  11. Try Ricky from Enjoy Fitness. Have used most of the local suppliers and he is by far the BEST in terms of quality vs price. www.enjoyfittness.co.za
  12. Try Cycle Lab in Boksburg for some Giro Riela or Manta MTB Shoes.
  13. If it fits well, go for the Bell, 3 year crash replacement policy.
  14. Giro do great range of Ladies specific shoes that are renowned for their fit and comfort. If you want a carbon sole look at the Factress or Espada, both of which have EASTON Carbon sole plates.

  18. 2013 Lefty's reset bearings automatically and also feature a fully sealed mechanism, so no more "intermediate" DIY servicing required. And the Moto Style fender looks the business!! Once you go Lefty you will never go back!
  19. RRP will be between R 350 - 390, K-Edge mounts are 450+ from what we've seen.
  20. Not K-Edge but similar. Locally manufactured, cheaper and lighter than K-Edge. Will hit shelves soon......
  21. Hi Ysterman, Contact the GoPro Team at gopro@omnico.co.za or on 021 3001526 and they'll sort you out. MTB and Road cycling(due to vibration) is considered a high impact sport and the polycarbonate extensions can break in those situations. In fact if they didn’t it could cause injury. We can recommend using the Roll bar mount on the stem of the bike for beautiful clean and stable shots of your riding. It may also be a good idea to tether your camera in rough conditions.
  22. WRT a Firearm. Only consider this if you are confident that you WILL use it when the time comes to take a life and are happy with the inherent risks of having a firearm in your home (not in a safe and with a round chambered). Accidental discharges happen to even the most trained & experienced firearm handlers. Best approach is to layer your security from the property boundary inwards. According to a couple of surveys CCTV cameras and Small Dogs in the house are the most effective deterrent.
  23. Comes from Community Policing (Neighbourhood Watch etc) Radio protocols. Whiskey = White Bravo = Black Charlie = Coloured
  24. Boils down to the same principle as the old saying; Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man.......
  25. Must be a Knysna thing, during the last Stage of the Knysna 200 last year my partner and I came across some kids from the local sports school that benefits from the race dragging a felled tree across the track. When they spotted us they clambered up the embankment and started pelting us with stones when we were forced to dismount to climb over the tree. Crazy!
