Also encountered runners/walkers (not the walking dead kind, thankfully) at Jonkershoek on Saturday for the first time. It was around 7am, so they must have made an early start! Going up Irish, they moved over well in advance. And down on Neverending story, also moved out of the way in time (thankfully). It is a little strange, I agree.
