  3. <sarcasm>I renew my PPA membership so I can get discounted race entries.</sarcasm>
  4. I'm looking forward to this. First road race since the Argus this year. I did it in 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed it, but found the heat to be the biggest challenge!
  5. I think I should sell my road bike. It's just not worth the risk anymore.
  6. Brilliant job!
  7. Phew, let's hope the wind calms down even more than it has today!
  8. Where can I send several complaints regarding motorists everywhere?
  9. Kevin Evans to team up with Lance Armstrong. Watch this space...
  10. Yeah, I mean seriously, who just lies on a couch?

  14. Did you drink enough? And I'm not talking about the night before...
  15. Nice event. I also did it in 2010 and I am glad it is still going. That "climb" yesterday was a bit ridiculous though - my back was broken!
  16. Cool idea. They're specifically talking about using it for urban biking. Not mountain biking or road racing.
  17. Damn that is one sweet bike! Congrats.
  18. I see they finally updated the results: http://www.amarider.co.za/burgermtb/siteContent.php?cid=120

  21. ActionPhoto hasn't even uploaded the photos from Knysna...
  22. You were not alone! It was a bit random, as that section was pretty cool.
  23. The inside of my Specialized The Captain Control (front) and Fast Trak LK (rear) also look like that - I clean them out and completely replace the Stan's once a year. My bike came with the S-Works version of those tyres and touch wood, I still haven't had a puncture to date (over 4,100km's on my bike split over two sets of tyres). Yesterday I pulled out a few huge thorns when I was cleaning my bike - they'd pierced right through the tyre and you could hear the air escaping after I pulled them out. But I turned my wheel upside down, as mentioned by ctMTBer, so that the sealant filled up the whole and this morning my tyres are still well inflated ~20psi. I usually pump them up to 22psi before I ride. On the Stan's bottle, it says the sealant should last between 2 to 7 months, but that you may need to replace it sooner in a hot climate.
  24. Where do you see the results/times?
  25. I rode the 42km route and enjoyed it. Super muddy! http://connect.garmin.com/activities Elevation Gain: 969 m which I thought was quite a bit for 42km! The only thing that sucked about today was getting held up before the old Helshoogte decent - that wasted at least 10 minutes and I was near the front... I'd hate to know how long some people took to get through. Cool event. Need to train more.
