  1. The worst incidents I've faced the last few weeks were from drives with these "Think Bike" stickers on their cars... Not practising what they're preaching Or maybe forgetting they are in a car. Thanks for warning, NO CHIRPING if the maths is against you.
  2. I like, I like a lot
  3. It is not about the bike And more on topic. You can promise me all the Dogmas and bikey bits I could want for the rest of my life (and the fame etc etc that goes with that) to try and make me choose between sport and my son. I will choose my son every single time' date=' without hesitation! Are they hard work? Yip Are they expensive? Affirmative Are they ungrateful? Most of the time Are they a pleasure? YES YES! Will I have a kid again if I have to go back and make that choice again? OOH YES!!! AND MORE To be honest, there is nothing that compares to your children. Not any posession, not any accomplishment, nor legacy. The choice to choose between a bicycle and a child is an absolute no-brainer, and until such time as the choice becomes a non-choice you are not ready yet to be a parent. Raising children should not be a chore, but it should be part of who you are (not what you do)[/quote'] I totally agree Agteros Agree, will not give up my son (17 months now) for all the bikes, cars etc in the world. No one bike will be with you the rest of your life. No bike will touch your heart like a child of your own. Spending time with my son and lovely wife is the ultimate. If you do not want children, you WILL find and excuse not to have any. Same argument for getting married. Botton line for me is, you will only know the true meaning of love and commitment once you hold that little baby in your arms. No-one can prepare you for it, no-one can explain it to you, and once you were there, no-one can take that feeling away from you. But, yeah, the Hub is probably not the correct forum for this discussion.
  4. Ysh... Maar dit lyk lekkerrrrr
  5. "Hy wat tamaties op die berg wil kook, sal swaar aan die stoof dra."
  6. Thanks Flowta
  7. Okay, so Kiwi rocks... Now, for the uninformed aka ME, Who is he and where is his shop? Does he have a website? All the usual, "I want to know more about someone giving great service" questions. Thanks
  8. Cool bikes
  9. All the best Kurt, recover well.
  10. Cannot really rate my cycle to work as exercise. To work 14 min, back, 14 min. To do same commute with car... to works 35 min and back (if leaving after 5pm) 30 min, 45 if between 4 and 5pm.
  11. What part of that bike is fun?
  12. Paid R10k for 2005 Epic S-works with full XT. Was over my budget at the time, but worth every cent.
  13. Thumbs up Rocky Bobby Oh sorry, only in 6 weeks' time. Glad you are healing good.
  14. You can have it in any color, as long as it's white
  15. Loooong stretch of tar... That does sound BORING. With Matchstix on this one. I guess it's whatever blows your hair back (oh sorry, need to wear a helm(u)(i)(e)t)
  16. Borriz and dirtcrazy... Just look at the dark clouds and low lying mist. And they believe it's a beautiful day in CT. Just think of how a normal day looks like.
  17. I have no idea what the cost might be, but Brad from Magiclights sent through a package round midday yesterday from the Eastern Cape and Fedex delivered to my doorstep by 7am this morning in Pta.
  18. Hey, there are riders out there that's heavier than me I like this topic.
  19. I tried and hated contact. Hate to try and put something in my eye' date=' and that dryness just didn't work for me.[/quote'] Had the same problems in the beginning, but guess I hated wearing prescription glasses more than the trouble of getting use to putting something in my eyes. As my eyes got use to them, the dryness issue also become less and less (will probably not go away 100%). Best part is I can now do MTB in the rain and mud without getting dirt on specs
  20. Heared the Rudy Projects are great. Please let us know what you decide on. I recently went to contact lenses and can go with any glasses now. Can really recommend contacts. X-Gear2010-01-18 07:15:01
  21. Yeah, what is the point? Hydration pack works for me, extra kgs included. If you are there to enjoy and beat yourself only (like me), then hydration pack is great. It's only a small % of riders that go for the podium, the rest of us just GO FOR GOLD everytime
  22. Go to https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=73359 and cast your vote!! Done
  23. When are we going? Should be no snow at this time
  24. Short answer - Yes Long answer - Absolutely
