I would use Aramex global shopper with this. Thus : shipping is free (much cheaper) from China to for instance Singapore. Then from Singapore to South Africa it is Aramex to Aramex - no SA post office which is also a big win! Have done it a few times in the past. Once Aramex Singapore received the parcel they will issue you with a manifest (most of the time just a little bit more that our local 15% VAT - calculated on the amount in Rand's reflecting on your credit card.) With the app on my cellphone the movement of the parcel can easily be tracked. (once received by Aramex Singapore) Before that use tracking on Aliexpress Use also the app to pay the manifest amount due - very easy. Sometimes Aramex could request an invoice from you before issuing the manifest - As Aliexpress don't issue invoices , I send then a screen-print of my order and Credit card statement where the amount reflects in Rand, It has always been accepted like this in the past with no issues. This is actually one of my biggest fears as well. A cracked frame on my newish well insured carbon disc brake bike and a bright spark at the insurance company that wants to fix it with a repair... Would love to hear your outcome at the end, - holding my thumbs

So, on a high end road frame, the frame will still weights the same after the repair, and the repaired tube (seat stay for example) will still be hollow / same thickness on inside as before? I believe a good paint job on the outside will be good enough for most people. Last words before leaving the repair centre: "don't worry, the frame is actually stronger now, and won't break again on that specific place 🤫

Maybe its only me, but I see a carbon framed that has been repaired in the same light as a code 3 second hand car... Second hand value takes a HUGE dip - and trying to sell it on Bikehub competing against unrepaired frames / bikes...eish good luck with this one. Insurances companies pushing their luck for cheaper options as times are tough ...but as mentioned that is a whole different topic on its own☹️

My guess is R43999 ? 👀 for the few sets Coolheat will bring us? 3067.7g - maybe weighted with the shortest possible crank / smallest chainrings , smallest cassette , shortest chain and no hydraulic hoses , no battery holder. I predict the rim brake market will be filled by new players to the groupset market, and Tiagra will go 11 speed soon - (still in rim brake) at R1800 shipped this 11 speed rim partial groupset even makes more sense now Senah
