Just not the same. Like a rebuild code 3 (Previously written off) vehicle. Once repair work was done, I would say 30 - 40% of normal price. Most of the time the sellers already received an insurance claim for it as well.....

I have a brand new crank? (53/39). Can I just put it on my bike with old chain and cassette? Or Should the new crank also have a new chain and cassette?

Don't know if it works, as I did not try it myself, but some say Coke to the trick. Take a bucket of Coke and let the spanners lay in it over night. If I were you I only test it with one Allen key to see if it works. I suggest you trough the coke away then....
