  2. Jeez DR, don't be such a sourpuss. I would like to earn a million smackers today but that is not going to happen. Should I go home, veg on the couch and feel sorry for myself then? Don't get me wrong - I was rooting for 360Life from the start and after watching Epic Tale I was full of hope that we'll see them win the race. The poor buggers were dogged by bad luck on the first stage. I feel really sorry for them, but, realistically speaking, their race for the podium is over. That is all I'm saying...
  3. +1 What he said. >>HI-JACK<< Happy birfday champ.
  4. Was wondering the same thing...
  5. Hi, I'm in Sunninghill too. There is quite a couple of us in the area training for the S2C. Spinning during the week with some Breedts/VG's/Spruit/whatever over the weekend. Will let you know what our plans are in the future. PM me your e-mail address. I'm in PTA the weekend so I'll be doing Groenies/VTM. Have to stress that we are mostly Adventure riders and are not aiming for any podium finishes. Cheers.
  6. Not close, close but in Kempton. Finish Line Cycles
  7. Going to try the Ralph's (back) with Nic's in the front. Looks more or less similar in tread pattern as to what I had on my 26er in Conti (Race King & Mountain King) which I cant seem to find in the Protection variant for the MK's
  8. +1Waiting for the Ron's & Nic's They have the Ralph's on special at the moment. http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/schwalbe-racing-ralph-snake-skin Very good price. They go for R700+ in GP. R462 on CRC excluding VAT, duties & shipping.
  9. Yup, rather hold out for the Snakeskin version. They had them on special not too lang ago for R499 per tyre.
  10. +1 I have one of these. Bit of a bugger to fit initially but an awesome protector nonetheless. Proudly South African if I'm not mistaken...
  11. Now that is a good add. Very funny!
  12. Offer the oke with the GT R4k (maybe R5k at most). He can only say no. Rather spend a little more than initially anticipated lest you are planning on upgrading in a year or two. Friend of mine is buying a Commencal for R12600 off the Hub, pricing on the bike started off at R19000 a couple of weeks ago.
  13. ...think she might be reading the news...
  14. Not sure if this one has been posted yet. These guys are pretty funny... Same dudes from jizzed my pants

  17. Sort of reminds me of this one....
  18. Guys at varsity had the Giant Iguana. This was pre Y2k though...
  19. Was actually looking at it just now - it is between a S and L so it's the best of both. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/23633-this-ones-going-going-quick-this-price/
  20. First if all, determine which size bike will fit you - The Giant is a large (20" closer to XL if you ask me) and the Trek is a small.
  21. +1 but make mine the Flow 29er + red Hopes. Also getting silver Thomson seat post to match the raw alu frame, red seat post clamp & chain ring bolts, XT flat SPD's, red cabling, red & black carbon 10spd X9 RD and some other bits and bobs
  22. A thread was bombed off the face off the interwebs earlier tonight - had to do with the significance of tomorrow as a public awareness day of sorts...
