  1. The What's New button is also neato. Great why to see, um, what's new on the Hub.
  2. Smaak the new, new look of the Hub. Good to see that the MultiQuote button is finally working!!!
  3. Just heard that 5 male cyclist were bike jacked on Monday morning by dudes with guns. The dudes jumped in front of them and covered the rear. Made off with the bikes... Not too sure about the rest of the details...

  7. Sad to see where cyclist come in on the list of things to avoid whilst travelling at speed by car....
  8. or have a look here: http://www.cwcycles.co.za/catalog/apparel/eyewear
  9. Hmm... So in staying with the scenario above you are loosing out on R100,000's because you are not able to cycle (?) You cant equate the loss of sale of a 50 buck spoke to the financial implications of a server being down... Still feel your pain though.
  10. Dammit! The snakes removed the Add to Cart button.
  11. GoG, I remember seeing, sampling and purchasing some of the Darling beer at the Neighbourgoods market in downtown Jozi. Have a look here as to when they are up and running: http://www.neighbourgoodsmarket.co.za/ . Great day out but go early. They also have the &Union beers there - you can also get them at Makro Woodmead..
  12. Tumbleweed, reading the highlighted text above - is your "girlfriend" perhaps of Thai or Cambodian origin...?
  13. Get a pair of Salomon trail running shoes. They don't have any laces since they've got that funny slide thingy, they'll be comfy & grippy enough when pushing uphill and they are tough as nails. Tekkie Town seems to be selling the older models for not that expensive.
  14. In the early 90's Pick 'n Pay used to sell Invader Beach Cruisers in a lumo paint job that looked exactly like that. It had a lekker paint job and kiff 12 speed gears plus a handle bar you could give your bokkie a lift on. Still prefer the Invader to that dull trellis from Trek.
  15. Nice bike. This one is mighty expensive though...
  16. I find the fact that the OP had to post this kind of sad really. He will most probably go and tease all the new first graders in the new year about the fact that they are not able to read after their first week of school. Good on ya fella...
  17. Eina... Here is to wishing my employer was as generous with my increase. Already a bit of a rant regarding the increase in visits over here
  18. Hell, I like how these buggers don't beat around the bush. From the site: Have you always wanted a fake Rolex or a Breitling replica but always thought it was too expensive for your budget... and further on: Our fake Rolex watches and Breitling replicas are some of the best to be created by man...
  19. This movie is on M Action (106) at the moment (well pretty close to the end). Remains one of the coolest movies ever.... Fact! http://www.starzlife.com/files/2011/09/top-gun1.jpg
  20. Hehe. Thanks HC. My "supplier" said he has a wooden track disc type rim which he has no use for. He'll try and bring it to the office on Monday since he is immigrating soon. Will post it and see if there are any takers since it is not something I have any interest in and and I would like to see that all his old stuff end up in a loving home.
  21. ' **** bud. If you can afford to pay 22kay for rims for an amateur, non-sponsored cyclist; getting fleeced out of 9 gorrilas should not really be of a concern... The okes' business got robbed. Show some compassion or keep your stupidity inspired opinions to yourself.
  22. Thanks, thought as much. I was under the impression that it was only the old Invader & Western Flyers that had those things
  23. Thanks for all the input & kind words guys, really appreciate it. Daideron, the TT is a Bianchi (based completely on hearsay that is). The previous owner (Franco as mentioned on the frame) told me that when he got it it was in the Hansom colours and that it was originally a Bianchi painted to look like a Hansom (you can still see some of the old colours on the top of the seat tube and where there are chips on the chain stays). Franco had the bike resprayed by a company called Phantom Graphix with a glitter lacquer which they had left over after they painting somebody's Porsche. Sort of has the same shimmer as the old Nokia 6110. The original fork on the bike was for a 650 wheel and then a 700 rear. Franco changed the fork to suit a 700 front wheel. Whether there is any truth in the rumour that it is a Bianchi is besides the point since I was after the big brother and the box of spares Tried to look at the serial number but the coat of paint is quite thick and as a result not clear. Still have to go through all the spares and identify them (not too familiar with old road bikes) and the missus is not to keen on me unpacking the old dusty box on the dining room table. Any idea what the little knobby thing at the back of the head tube is on the other Bianchi?
  24. Thanks. Any idea what the Bianchi model is in my first post? Would like to get some more info on the bike. I see that it has a sticker with "Formula Two Columbus" on the seat tube but cant find any other info on it.
