  1. A question for those in the know, will a glass or 2 of wine a night cause weight loss stall? Also, is cream and cheese considered dairy, ie do they have lots of carbs like milk? I am going to try and cut it down for 2 weeks and see what happens.
  2. Now that you mention it, I have also been great. Not losing much weight though, but feel good. Could be the wine at night???
  3. Haha, a 52 back sprocket. We do very technical riding

  6. There was no implication from my side, merely cut and paste from another forum. Found it a rather bizarre comment, which is why I asked here.
  7. A quote from another forum on the same topic: "My brother did Sani2C last week. At 1 point he was in the medic tent and there was 14 guy's on drips. A doctor at the tent ask all of them wich was on the Noaks diet. 12 out of 14... What say the panel here?
  8. I can't believe it!!!
  9. Is his name Ant?
  10. That's so funny you mention that, I was thinking exactly the same thing. The other day on Ballz radio, he said he had sold 10 000 copies before Christmas. One thing Noakes himself said is when something big comes out, follow the money trail.......
  11. Amazing. Interesting to see how still the dog's body is during the run and over the rocks and trees, especially in the slo-mo shots
  12. Just WOW! I can only imagine, having kids of my own, how he must feel.
  13. Another worry for me is that we don't actually know the long term consequences of low/no carbs and high fat. There are some who believe that it may screw around with our bodies insulin sensitivity too much and can have other side effects that I can't recall right now. I am always wary of something that gets too hyped up and is too trendy. For sure I believe that too much processed food is bad for us, just look at the obesity rates around the world. I for one am trying to just eat as whole a foods as is possible and trying to keep away from refined carbs.
  14. I would be interested to know what the life spans were of the paleo era and what there particular diseases were. Same for the Hazda tribes, Eskimos and Eastern (Japanese and Chinese). There are many cultures that rely a lot on carbs to survive. I also think that the human body is able to adapt to what we are able to find and kill in order to survive. The problem these days is that everything is so processed and there is so much available to us that we need never go hungry again. I also believe that we also eat far more than we need to.

Does anyone here know what is usually on the water tables? I just need to know what to take with.
  19. Besides there is no way a 1 ton bakkie could hold a couple hundred ton plane. It would crumple into nothing the moment the plane touched it
  20. A question. It's my first one as well, will be doing it on the MTB. I have a start time of 7:35. Do I still have to make it to the cut-offs at the times allocated? I mean, we are starting 1 hour 35 minutes behind the leaders.
  21. Another guy who is great at bodyweight exercises is Tee Major. He has also set up a program for beginners and advanced. Google "44 best bodyweight exercises"
  22. Apparently this is one of the most difficult of games, striking a round ball with a round bat
  23. Push ups, pull ups, dips and planks/crunches. The easiest and cheapest way forward.
  24. I think I am the same that way . I bring all this up because I have spoken to a lot of people and the 1 thing that seems to come up all the time is that LCHF is too analytical and difficult to do
