  1. Is this a serious troll?
  2. Does anybody know if that scene is available on the intrawebs? Please post a link. Thanks
  3. " Not to get racial, but i checked a guy in the Edenvale area riding a Merida (Not quite sure the model) Black and lime green, discs, etc. The thing that caught my eye was he was in a blue overall and the bike had a pro nutro race number on the front, and he had a proper cycling bottle. I stopped him and kindly asked about it. He was shaking like a mad thing during questioning. He said his boss had given it to him. so i followed him to his "bosses" house. Upon arriving i just left because i though he may be legit. So then i felt bad for questioning the guy so i went back to offer him some cash to say sorry and make friends. When i got there the "boss" and his family were extremely low class with missing teeth etc, the house was in a shambles.. So, if your house looks like that, would you be handing out merida's to your garden boy?? " Chances are good the bike was stolen, given the circumstantial evidence. Inexcusable though, is the use of the term "garden boy". Take a deep breath and dive headlong into the 21st century.
  4. I have also had great service from them. Quick, correct and very competitive price.
  5. Not likely sweetie, but you may pass water once the seatbelt light has been turned off.
  6. @ Grumpy: CSA (Now do I win a free entry for guessing correctly?)
  7. CSA se moer. What does CSA do for ordinary cyclists? What do they do with the vast sum of money they rake in from the mass events (Argus, 94.7, etc) ? OK, so this is a family site, so I'll stop there.....but their moer anyway.
  8. Some of mine were made in the Far East, Gauteng, in the days when they still did that. Still others in the Republic of Bapetikosweti at Babelegi. Surely that makes me cool beyond belief?
  9. This whole CSA thing sucks. So typical of South African bureaucracy.
  10. Dunno, but this looks like Vleisbroek and the Twatosphere were indecently intimate.
  11. People, "Ghetto tubeless conversion" implies another continent, here it's known as "homeless choobless". And it works. One refinement? Use Caffelatex. One time, may bru.
  12. This is getting anal which is probably why someone dropped the KY hint.
  13. Zambuk, may bru. Works a treat. And you can put it on your lips. Tiger Balm would also work, but don't put to much on your lips at one time. And it's a standard household item.
  14. OK, last guess........Adobe Photoshop?
  15. 1. Tokoloshe? 2. Jurius Marema? 3. Dare I mention the word....delamination.(Unless the unseen rim has been attacked by 1 or 2 above with a bobbejaan spanner?
  16. @supavan and others.... I shared the pic that Liz sent me in good faith. Now BACK OFF!
  17. A short course in spelling would be in order, Mr.G I liked the post,I'm not ashamed to admit, but the attacks on Joe Low were unbecoming. A more tolerant approach would help
  18. This Liz Hatch? Funny thing is I never noticed the logos on her jersey.
  19. Thanks for doing that, seems faster (but that's probably subjective because it's Friday.
  20. Eccentric bb. It works 32-16 and 32-18 on one chain length; and 32-18 and 32-20 on one more link. There's not enough in the eccentric to take it all the way from 32-16 to 32-20, pity. Also, be careful with the cap screws which tighten the eccentric, if they strip, it's a problem. Enjoy the ride!
  21. Pretty, very pretty. Probably the best buy you'll ever make.(Unless someone gave it to you for your birthday?) Mine is now old and scruffy...but much loved.
  22. I was surprised not to hear the stampede of cleated feet... https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=80800
  23. bubblesm: What a breath of fresh air. Yes, let's move away from the fingerpointing and get behind one solid, united body. Sign-Up seems to be that.
  24. The hardcore hubbers are probably all at "meetings", resting! Big H I fully support your idea of a Code of Conduct. Sign It, Wear It, Ride It, Spread It. The challenge will be to reach the masses (only a small percentage of cyclists have even heard of the hub (which is a pity), so the message needs to go out on broader platforms. 702 and Cape Talk spring to mind.
