  1. Just saying, regardless whether you a Pro or an amateur, to ride 1.5 IF for 2 minutes is a massive ask... Pantani2008-09-07 09:23:31
  2. Gordon Bennett! That's a big ask...
  3. Cuzzie, I'm going to swallow hard and give you my understanding since the self appointed Hub High Priest of Power isn't responding... IF is a ratio of Normal Power to the riders Threshold Power. Therefore we can reverse engineer what Bruce has entered as his FTP in his cycling peaks by doing the following calculation: Let Normal Power = x, Threshold = y. IF = x / y. Solve for y. So multiply both sides by y thus... y.IF = x multiplyboth sides by 1/IF thus... y = x / IF y = 316 / 0.93 y = 339.78w So back to your question, 1 = 1 hour TT effort and the simple answer would be that he was riding at 93% (IF 0.93) of his 1 hour TT effort... Please don't crucify me if I'm wrong...
  4. Training... What's that?
  5. Marshal duty, earning my Cyclelab coupons for bike bling...
  6. Samma, where the pics cuzzie?
  7. Thanks... Took some interesting pics today...
  8. Finally got the brakes put on the bike... Pantani2008-09-06 04:36:33
  9. I can vouch for that, I'm usually a 'guest' when he is online alone...
  10. Hey, I ride with whoever pays the appearance fee OK...
  11. Ja, it used to be a rocking ride in it's day. But I see nerves are a bit jangled at the coast. Was riding in the mornings for a week at the beginning of August in Durbs, didn't feel right.... Either way, look forward to doing this ride on my next trip to Durban, it's been ages since I last went out to Ballitto on the beach road... Hmmm now where is my other kit those Westville boys gave me?
  12. CLEAR!!!! http://www.cdc.gov/eLCOSH/docs/d0500/d000543/7.jpg
  13. MWNN, are you going to Bloem this year? Maybe I can 'betrek' you in your own home town! Pantani2008-09-04 08:45:23
  14. Damn straight! Your hearing is good MWNN!!! http://inventorspot.com/files/images/grill11.img_assist_custom.jpg Well I never, clearly you wild lot have lost all respect for me. Does this mean I have to come out, cans of whip ass in hand, and beat some respect out of you? No, guess I must show up at the race in Meyerton on Sunday!!!! Ja, ja, just what I thought, I can hear you lot quaking in your cheap plastic shoes.... Anyway, shot Bruce, looking like a jobless bloke, a car guard!!! I'll have you know that I was on my way to meet with The Godfather to have a sit down about the insults thrown at "da family" this morning. We needed to decide if we would go the legal route or "send a message". Since he wasn't available I have taken it upon myself to defend the honour of "da family" and will be sending a message first thing tomorrow morning! So convenient that it's happening on the easy day! Dr Seuss, your contempt for my "little black and gold bike" will not go unpunished, make sure you ride with spare chain lube, you going to need it! MWNN, I'll go easy on you because as much as I detest that TCS kit, I know you are forced to wear it against your better judgment and when given the chance to don your Assos exercise an understated minimalist approach to cycling style and dress sense! Respect... Ooops Crux... Didn't see you there, how's that kit coming, the one you promised me for my support during the JF fiasco.... What? Spidey where? OK, just tell him to hurry already, summer is here almost... Pantani2008-09-04 08:24:12
  15. Yeah well, after the fiasco of the teeter totter or whatever it's called, you can't be too careful. And that is the sad part, that your good intentions might come into question and become a liability to you...
  16. Hahaha, about a month ago I made the mistake of riding next to him... It's so hard to disguise heavy breathing...
  17. Besides, MWNN made me laugh this morning, before the ride he was talking about being scared cos all the big guns were there... Then next thing I check the front and he is the one bringing the pain!!!
  18. Hahahahaha, the people need a laugh... Even at The Engen, everybody is so serious. But then again, they riding so hard there's no time to have a laugh...
  19. No, there are no ride marshalls at the Engen, only race commissaires... Fun Rides have marshalls.. Pantani2008-09-03 23:34:48
  20. Azonic, I like how your pic is anatomically correct..
  21. This morning I noticed a few TCS riders line up at the start of the Engen 'race'. It must also be noted that they were not decked out in their team colours! Please guys, team strips are non negotiable otherwise we have to conclude that you have come in a spirit of '*** stirring' and that doesn't go down well at the Engen. There are 3 matters that need to be addressed: The neutral zone.Mechanical motorised assistance.Half wheeling AndrewThe Neutral Zone Gentlemen (MWNN), once the ride passes Jaguar Bryanston and proceeds to Investment cars on William Nicol Drive, please respect the pace and adhere to the rules of engagement and treat this as a neutral zone. It is considered poor taste to attack the ride as they engage in casual chat and banter! Mechanical Motorised Assistance This has been discussed in another thread and it seems it has reared it's ugly head at The Engen Series. Gentlemen (MWNN), hitching a ride with passing public transpoort (taxi's nogal! ) goes against the spirit of the sport. I sincerely hope it wasn't Crux driving the black taxi (the paint job of the taxi ) on William Nicol. Whether intentional or accidental, I saw a hand reach out and grab the taxi, it will not be condoned! Half Wheeling Andrew Gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen (MWNN), how many times do I have to tell you Andrew dislikes being half wheeled. A direct consequence of this is the trail of disaster that is left behind when he puts the hammer down in an attempt to drop the half wheelers. What is worse is a persistant half wheeler who doesn't know when to quit (MWNN). Please be reminded that this sort of behaviour is frowned upon. Please give Andrew at least 2 clear bike lengths, if you were at Zoo Lake you would know this, he rides best with a space buffer around him. Your compliance in future will be appraciated. I hope Crux will take the necessary action and we might see more of you guys, and in club colours too (yes, you guessed it, MWNN) Pantani2008-09-03 23:31:30
  22. Ja... tell me now.... undertaking these repairs, and don't get me wrong it's just a question considering that I heard a story earlier this week, could you be liable if I fell and injured myself on a bridge you repaired in good faith? I know you did the repairs, you publicised it on The Hub. So when I break my leg I say, "Those guys on The Hub did a bad job, I want to sue them!" Your thoughts?
  23. Crux!!!! I love your work man!!!
